Pretty sweet gig for the treasury right now too. Owning large portions of the bond market through off balance sheet financing. We're really making a good case to own dollars right now especially as it continues to cripple smaller countries in the next few years. Must be nice to have competent politicians that don't deficit spend for twenty straight years for no apparent reason.

Certainly shutting everything down caused a much more pronounced effect, but let's not act like we wouldn't be seeing a recession from the virus itself if we had a much larger infection rate from not locking down, and especially local to Louisiana with oil in its current state.

This can’t be true. Trump told us the economy was gonna come soaring back.

Every Bernie Bro I know on Twitter is calling for shutdown extensions past May. One guy I used to work with isn't happy his state is opening many things up on Friday.

My company is one of the most conservative companies around and they’re going to make 80% of employees work from home through September is the latest rumor

I could always go into the office during all of this but it was suggested that those of us that can work remotely do so. I think I'm going back on Monday. I'm tired of sitting at home all day.

The world’s slave drivers still need dollars to get things done. Why the Eurodollar market exists.

This gif is brought to you by your future retirement squirming under the pressure of inflation.

The government does not produce revenue.

It can only take money from the private sector or magically print money.

But do they really need to print money. It’s just 1s and 0s in a computer
