Mental illness aside, Amy vs Matt in the tournament of champions is going to be a great matchup. Depending on when they film it, I might give Amy the edge. It’ll come down to who is better on the buzzer, and a longer layoff for Matt could put him at a disadvantage.

I knew the Final Jeopardy question that Ken Jennings missed when he lost. I immediately knew today’s answer too. I’m surprised she missed it.
I watch the Final Jeopardy questions on YouTube and that thing has actually missed quite a few easy ones. Got a few tough ones too, to be fair.
I think the run was rigged.

Amy was clearly on full tilt. The Final Jeopardy clue was really easy. I got it immediately. The look on Amy’s face when Rhone bet it all on the second DD and got it right was nothing short of squeamish. She was dominating the competition over the last month and was not expecting someone to be within striking distance going into Final. I knew it was only a matter of time. She has been blowing Final Jeopardy for the last couple weeks and winning with subpar totals like $10k. That said, I think the Final today was so easy that Amy’s loss was purely psychological. She was on tilt.

Is it one of those "hey everybody I am trans don't tell jokes about me. I want to be equal" type of trans or is it a low key trans that doesn't make a big deal out of it?

I am terrible luck for long-time Jeopardy champs. Last time I watched an episode Holzhauer lost. Decided to randomly watch this afternoon and the tranny gets beat

Country that ends with the letter H and one of the ten most populous. He didn’t have an answer.

Because of the filming schedule, she had no idea who he was until they taped the first episode of the day. He was already over a million by then.
that's interesting because Ken announced Amy's winnings and streak in just about every game after she was making a long run. I can't imagine that they didn't say anything about Holzhauer at the start of the show if he was over $1M at the time.

Well the hard ones was likely worth more right? So how can you rig jeopardy?

Good. Now I can watch jeopardy again.
Hopefully trans Amy will fade into bolivian.

The run was undoubtedly stacked with mediocre at best challengers. The dude who won today had to be coached/coaxed by Jennings to risk it all on the daily double. Ken was protecting his streak. And yes, the champion dude was certainly intelligent, but missed several easy final Jeopardys just in the last week or so when I caught an episode.

I agree contestants have been mediocre but I don't remember Ken having any input until after he bet it all. I'll have to rewatch.

They did. When Holzhauer entered the room before taping the crew all referred to his as “champ,” so they knew he was the returning champ. When they introduced the contestants in the first taping of the morning the contestants waiting for later taping were like, “who is this dude?” It was a real shock to find out that they walked into the middle of that kind of run. They film 5 episodes a day for a week, so in a week’s taping someone could win a month of shows.
When they started taping the first show of the day, my family member wasn’t called and she got to watch him destroy the first two groups. She was in the third show that taped that day. The contestants watching backstage get a few hours to try to develop a strategy to fight the champ. He still won all five tapings.
Here’s the interesting part. A couple of the contestants don’t get called for the five taped in a single day so they get to go back to the hotel and think about what they watched and come back for the next day’s taping. One of the guys who didn’t get called the day my family member taped, and who got overnight to think of a strategy, almost beat Holzhauer in the first taping the next morning. The gal who beat Holzhauer had the exact same circumstance. That may have been what happened to this champ also.
