I know a girl who got a ticket and already paid it.

A state senator tells the people not to pay those tickets.

They did this in assumption parish either last year or year before. The “village” of napoleonville doesn’t have the funds to have their own police like they used to, so they hired a third party speed trap, basically a guy in camo leaning up against a tree with a radar.

The sheriff of the parish made a Facebook post about it and simply said don’t worry about paying the tickets

An I remember when you had to go to Chucks Bar in Addis, to pay your ticket.

I have no issues with folks running 70 in a 55 getting a ticket. If you’re running more than 5 miles over just shut up and pay it.

Where I have a problem is changes, especially due to road construction or conditions that you may not have known about, ticketing people at the changeover who would be legal otherwise.

Screw any city that survives off of speeding ticket revenue.

This is another illustration of how freaking worthless the Louisiana legislature is compared to other states.

When Alabama had this problem with brookside two or three years ago, its legislature passed a law saying that no more than ten percent of a municipal budget could come from fines and forfeitures.

And just like that, poof, these dumps of small towns stopped pulling people over because they couldn’t keep the money.

Have we seen anything like that here? Of course not.

When a motorcycle cop pulls you over for speeding on the interstate, it's not about safety.

Here in Georgia, unmarked cars are prohibited from writing traffic citations. They can’t run radar either.
