Where did the money from your "investments" come from?

You shovel snow and cut grass?

You mean "pubes"?

You Arkansas inbred morans never cease to amaze.

An acceptable definition of revenge in Arkansas is feltching with a blood relative.

I thought you were a trust fund baby, living off of the investments that your dad set up?

What's the scoop?

Thankfully, I have never been in a situation sufficiently desperate to exact or even contemplate revenge against another person. I am exceedingly fortunate in that respect and I attribute my good fortune to:

• Simple luck
• A rather acute instinct for observation, which has pulled me away from potentially harmful relationships time and again in my life
• My implacably introverted nature, by which I avoid indiscriminate contact with my environment and those who populate it

I can't imagine what it would feel like to have mind, heart and soul burning for vengeance against another person. For reference, I read Poe's The Cask of Amontillado from time to time, and while the revenge achieved in that marvelous story has its appeal, I understand that what I am reading is in fact ... fiction.

I've indulged.

In high school, I entered the winning drawing for Pat Shingleton's Color the Weather contest in the name of the school a-hole.

As an adult, I've put up flyers around homeless shelters advertising free Thanksgiving meals while supplies last at the home of the office a-hole. His nearby address and a map was included...with a 6am start time.

I also once did a balloon launch with a note promising $1,000 (this was 20 years ago) to the winning balloon found farthest from the launch location. Of course the office a-hole's name, address, and phone number was used as the person finders needed to contact.

I'm currently contemplating using shitsenders.com to have a package sent to the home of another a-hole I've come to know through fantasy football.

Also in a former job, there were occasions when I would have to do partnered work when visiting people's homes. I had a battery powered ultrasonic dog deterrent for occasions when aggressive dogs approached. I discovered that it also shut off the hearing aid of a co-worker that loved to be an a-hole in the office.

So I did what any halfway decent person would do and I toted that device around with me in the office to use at the right moments: when the boss or other management personnel were talking to deaf a-hole on the phone or in person.
