The fact is crazy people who have made up their minds to kill are going to kill. Both political parties are at fault for creating radical ideologies. That dumb frick topps shooter was a racist POS and that shooter at the school was a “I don’t get my way so I’m going to kill everyone” pos. That’s left as frick
Who down votes this? It’s a people problem not a gun problem. Wackos and Criminals commit mass shootings. Taking guns out of law abiding citizens hands won’t stop it. It’s not like there are laws to follow to do these heinous acts. The people problem starts with the idiots in Washington that push for gun control instead of beefing up security. One way to do that would be to spend the 53 million that was sent to Ukraine. Split amongst the 130k schools comes to $400,000 per school. Start with steel walls and cameras and metal detectors. Promise you this shite stops. Problem is our government is corrupt and would rather launder that money instead of protecting the children. At the end of the day gun control is only used to get votes during election years.

I think your math might be off by just a little….

I meant 53 billion. My bad comes out to 407692.307692 per school.

Why did it take a week to find out that she tried to close the door?

The police waiting so long is another issue and all in support of the police but they dropped the ball here
"dropped the ball" is quite the understatement here.

You propped open the door while you went and retrieved your cellphone, supposedly from your car in the parking lot where the shooter was hunkered down behind a car, and then left the door propped opened when you went back inside the building. No doubt you were on the damn phone when you went back inside therefore distracting your attention away from closing the door.
Speculation?

A locked door isn’t likely to stop a determined psychopath. He was crazy.

The teacher is now in the early stages of a lawsuit against……………you guessed it. Daniel Defense for marketing guns to children.

As a teacher, it is sad how many times I’ve played the possible scenarios in my head.
My first year in teaching, a kid brought a loaded handgun to school. Had he not flashed it to some kids on the bus, who in turn ran straight to the FO off the bus, there is no telling what would’ve happened that day.
It’s unfathomable that the police didn’t go straight in to that situation and take action. I can promise you this, a shooter would 100% have to take me out before getting a shot at my kids. Not even a question
