Who gives a frick what other people do with their bodies? Just because you think you’re all high and mighty because you don’t have one, doesn’t mean jack shite to other people who choose to. Been reading this site for 20 years and this same dumb thread always comes up. frick off already

Well after further thought, prostitution is called the oldest profession so I guess that word can apply to anyone really.
And sorry you didn’t get into medical school.

I was laughing at him calling alcohol toxic but not thinking tattoo ink is.

Remember when the stereotypical truck driver was tattooed and pierced? Now it's office dwellers. Most of the (American) truckers I meet out here are pretty clean cut.

I'm a Sailor. Got mine (just 2) overseas . You cant see them unless I take my shirt off. They have special meaning to me and pay tribute to some lost shipmates. I had a tattoo before tattoos were cool and I'm a salty old bastard so there. . However, I don't think I would get another.

You're a trashy mentally ill person who is injection poison in your body and those have absolutely zero meaning to you and have had a negative effect on your life personally as well as reflected badly on your entire family.

Deciding to have tattoos is a personal decision. But you should know very clearly that you will be judged by employers and others who dont like them when they see them. People who hang out with or are raised by people who have them seem to want them.

So I got a half sleeve tattoo. I went big. Lots of my family heritage and subtle meaning throughout.
I won't get another tattoo, but I love my unique tat.
Oh, and I didn't get a trashy $200 tattoo. Mine cost $4000 from a guy who has people fly in from all over the world to get his work done.
Worth every penny.
And to respond to some you guys:
Impulsive? No, I waited 30 years, and planned it out for a full year.
Sounds like my kind of tattoo. Who was the artist?

1. Tats should only be on men.
2. Tats on women are just trashy.

Ever been to Mississippi?
The majority of the population has been embracing tattoos for a long time.

I don't really care if people get tattoos, I personally don't have any.
But just like everything else that was once cool and represented counterculture, it is now mainstream and the norm.
Kids today who grow up and see all their parents filled with tattoos are gonna think it's a lame old people thing. Pure skin will be the new cool.

People these days have little regard for long term consequences

You'd have to actually be into women to begin with

It’s odd to listen to people tell you all about their tattoos and their meaning.
I say Cool. Good for you. Cuz I don’t really care. But all I can think is that at best it’s an interesting coping mechanism.
People also call it expression. But then say “you can’t judge me” on the thing you did hoping I would see it? Because it’s only expressed if it externally viewed.
I truly don’t care. Do you. But as a parent I tell my kids you are signing up to be a part of a culture you’ll be judged on. Doesn’t matter if you like that or not. It’s gonna happen. So make sure you’re up for the criticism. It’s isn’t considered trashy for no reason. There is a history involved. Just like if you told someone, yeah I’m a rapper. You might be accounting professional. But you just threw that out to identify with a new group that has its own history. Same with tattoos.
It’s interesting because tattooed people will say the criticizers are old people yelling get off my lawn. But the reality is they are yelling accept this thing that’s always been outside the norm as normal. And if you don’t stop worrying about what other people do.
So weird.
