The Reveille is pure shite

Was on campus today for a meeting and happened to pick up a couple copies to flip through out of curiosity. The front page of the past two editions have been something along the lines of being too much of a party school and the other one was about 5 “racist incidents” that have occurred over the past fifty years. Seriously? Do better than this crap. I’m all for addressing issues to make the university a better place but quit writing these bullshite articles where the truth is sensationalized in the title to make it look like something it’s not. I’m appalled at this air of marivonticronacy with which these students are writing.

Dont take what a bunch of entitled, edgy 20 year olds write as good, insightful journalism. Even so-called "good" journalism has turned into fear mongering, propaganda-like click bait.

Well, since the Ferengi own and operate all of the media, academia, the banks, entertainment, porn and on and on, this should come as no surprise.
My nephew who is five brought a CHILDREN'S book home for the local public library which was about how what used to be considered sexual deviance is perfectly normal behavior. We live in a toxic waste dump.

LSU has several schools that are top notch and respected. The LSU school of journalism is not one of them.
On the list of Top 184 Journalism Schools in the US, LSU did not make the list. Arkansas Tech made it. Georgia Southern made. LSU didn't. I can't even imagine how bad the Reveille is......

Society has WAAAY too many media/journalism entities and persons IN ALL CONTEXTS. That certainly applies in sports and Universities.
Hype and Sensationalism are their survival methods, so framing EVERYTHING in either (or both) extreme or Political Correctness manners is their way.

Sad? It's just an ideology and just b/c you don't agree with it doesn't mean it's sad. There's conservatives and liberals at LSU and there always has been. I as an alumnus would prefer a mixture of points of view on campus, instead of a singular perspective. Kind of a childish perspective.

The Reveille has always been a worthless rag. I remember back in the early 70s when it recommended that the university furnish GUARD DOGS to coeds, when walking through the campus at night, to cut down on a rise in reported assaults.

I totally agree. College is where the Socratic method should be employed free of censure or retribution. Let me know when Progressive Orthodoxy allows some room for normals to voice their opinions without being called racistsexisthomophobe by angry undergrads and strident faculty.
