since weeks before thanksgiving the number of Christmas movies has been overwhelming with several channels running it 24-7..as had been pointed out there are only a half dozen base stories and a hundred modifications. my wife has worn out the hallmark channel.

but

has anyone seen a tv show that portrays life in the Middle East, Israel, or jerulseleum, about 2000 years ago, with a stable

its almost as if that part of Christmas is prohibited social media content. is it?

You mean the real Christmas story isn't about a driven career woman who moves to a small town and finds happiness with a volunteer fireman who runs a Christmas tree farm?

This is a secular civilization now, for the time being.

As a Christian, I welcome the continued general celebration of the holiday even if the "reason for the season" has gotten a bit lost.

Better this than persecution.

Today we read the Christmas story straight out of the bible for the whole family, and especially for the 6 little ones under 7 years of age.

Oh...you mean the Pagan celebration of the solstice?

Dont get upset at the media for doing what the Church did over a thousand years ago.

The real christmas story is easter.

Savage murder.

The crime? From most readings, railroaded after His Confession, "I and the Father are One". Someone misinterpreted as, "I am a veritable God", which is heresy in Judaism.
For which crime, the death we all know.

However, i maintain that cowards ran the disciple clan of survivors and soon it was said, "you know when jesus said he and the father are one, that was just him. Not none of us.
Him. Only.

However, its actually true of all. All is One.
There is no Other.
Its only the one conscious being.

It's vanished along with Christmas Carols that mention Christ Child, Bethlehem, Three Wise Men and Silent Night.

Two weeks ago I started missing them, and until last night had missed hearing any.

Along came South Park and their version had more story of Christmas than the TV we watched elsewhere.

My suggestion: Get a new wife or possibly a husband depending on which state you live in.

No offense, but most of your post is basically unintelligible. So I'm not sure what you're trying to say.

Anyway, John 8:58 is a favorite. I am.

YHWH.

Jesus made it crystal clear who he thought he was, and there was no doubt that those who heard him got the intended message.

His early followers and founders of the church didn't subject themselves to stoning, crucifixion and beheading merely because they thought Jesus was neat.

That awkward moment when shiny trolling is literal heresy.

To say you are wrong is simply an understatement.

I watch The Nativity Story (2006) every single year.
I can’t control what the media execs put on tv but I can control what my house puts on tv.

Linus Christmas Speech

Luke 2:8-14 King James Version (KJV)

8 And there were in the same country shepherds abiding in the field, keeping watch over their flock by night.

9 And, lo, the angel of the Lord came upon them, and the glory of the Lord shone round about them: and they were sore afraid.

10 And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people.

11 For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord.

12 And this shall be a sign unto you; Ye shall find the babe wrapped in swaddling clothes, lying in a manger.

13 And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God, and saying,

14 Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men.

I think I remember reading that the network (CBS?) wasn't all in on that scene making the cut. Even way back then. I think Schultz was adamant so it stayed. It remains one of our family favorites.

If I'm not careful there's a lot of Charlie Brown that rears its head in me at this time of the year.
