My mother is from a small town in Tennessee, but she moved away after she finished college and married my father. She told me that her high school class hasn't had a reunion since their 15th back in the mid 80's because pretty much all of her classmates that stayed there have since been divorced and married others within their class or high school. It apparently caused too much drama at the last reunion.

That’s funny. Sad but why would people live like that? Settling sucks, I’d just rather be alone.

The funny thing is my dad is from a small town in North Mississippi and went to a smaller high school. His class has a reunion every year.

From what I see at work settling is the easiest path these girls have.
It is one thing to not settle when you are doing ok financially.
But when you are trying to raise 2 kids on 45k a year and not much help guys with good jobs start to look good.
Be careful guys.

The problem is... Too many men don't know how to be men these days.
I know we live in a different time, but you still got to keep some old school swag with you.
Use common courtesy. If she wants to be treated more as an equal and don't want you to do certain things then she will let you know, but if you going on a date, men still need to pay for the dinner. At least the first few times.
Dress nice. Be able to talk about a wide range of topics and just because she might say something you don't agree with, don't let that be a deal breaker.
If you are a dude who is a big gamer (nothing wrong with that, I play Fortnite, but don't make that a topic you want to talk about.. Unless she is a gamer as well..
But I think the first thing you need to do is dress nice. At least be in style because women are going to judge you. Don't go wearing jeans that are kind of baggy, with a braided belt with a tshirt tucked in and new balance or anything like that.
