The Problem with the "Black Women Paid Less" cliche

The Black Women Pay Gap ?
I have an issue with this. Why do these sites always make the comparison to white males. A comparison with black male counterparts would be more accurate. When compared to black male earnings, black women still earn less but the gap is relatively smaller.
Majors also matter. Standard liberal arts and social science majors have limited job prospects. The article itself says that STEM is usually better and more equivalent in pay.
This is the only thing I find concerning. The only defenses I can think of are as follows.
1) High school dropout learns a vocational skill. The article doesn't explicitly say the dropout never gets alternative education. The dropout could get into real estate, welding, etc. And make money off of that.
2) Networking. The dropout simply has family or friends who will get them a good job. Its important to note that in these circumstances the person themselves is benefiting primarily off of others and completely off their own merit.
Note: I'm not criticizing inheritance, I'm differentiating between working for everything you have vs being gifted with money and working off of it.
This is a bad analogy in that if the roles were reversed, said dropout would be working at walmart or serving fast food.
I dont know how many truly uneducated (no degree/ no vocation/ no certification) white males are making great salaries. A few decades ago you didnt need anything to have a good career. For the past 10 years, you have to have x, y, z certificate for the most mundane positions.

While education is often thought of as a great equalizer, it does not shield women of color from the pay gap or the wealth gap. Recent research by Demos found that the median white adult who dropped out of high school has 70 percent more wealth than the median black adult with some college education. That means relying on education alone to close the pay gap alone will not work for women, especially black women, who trail behind in terms of wealth no matter how closely they follow societal guidelines of how to earn more and be successful

Sorry bud, but if your family lets you drop out of high school, then your family more than likely doesn’t have the connections available to get you a decent job.

What a dumb fricking study.
How about comparing Electricians to Electricians and Secretaries to Secretaries, with the exact same education, experience, etc.

I'm assuming the college graduation rates for black women are significantly lower than that of cracker males.

Seems most appropriate to compare them with other women but whatever. Most of the reasons for wage gaps are easily explained.

Uh excuse me. White Male.
Dont ever do that.
Dont ever do that.

Reasons black females make less than white males:
1)
2)
1)
quote:
The U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics shows that the percentage of black women who are full-time minimum-wage workers is higher than that of any other racial group.
2)
quote:
Black women make up a scant 1 percent of the high-paying engineering workforce and 3 percent of computing.

Because you can't use those stats to push a false narrative.

Plus, it comes too close to holding people accountable for their choices in life. The perception NEEDS to be pushed that its the color of their skin and the oppressive system they are under that caused the disparity to outcomes. NOT what they did with given opportunity.
The evidence for having these blinders needs no more than the already meationed stacking the deck with apples to oranges differences comparing black females to white males.

You are comparing hole watches and security guards to electricians and welders.
