Csb, here is mine: My sister was talking to a boy(both teen-agers) on the phone. He was dating my sister's best friend at the time. He told her his birth father had died and was going to the funeral. He was adopted at an early age and had never met this man. He made the comment that he heard that he had a brother he was not aware of who was in the Air Force stationed in Italy. My sister said "what a coincidence, my brother is in the Air Force in Italy and his biological father died and his funeral is on the same date". This was in 1971.
Yep, she was friends with my brother I didn't know existed.

Not trying to be a hater or anything but why would you want to know? I am sure I wouldn’t understand since I am not adopted but I feel family is who was there in your upbringing and the rest is just genetics. If I found out my father wasn’t my biological father I wouldn’t give a eff. He was the one who raised me.

None taken. Like I said before, my parents never kept it a secret that I was adopted and while I was growing up, I knew there was someone out there that knew the answers to the questions that was going through my head about that part of my past. I had to know, I needed closure.
