Damn I just googled one of the guys names and I didn't realize he was in for 12 years and is now out it appears. There was a High school pic of the wrestling team and he even looks like he was made for it back then. The other buddy not so much.

This guy is definitely bull shitting. My dad was one. He NEVER talks about it and only close family know about it. He was in the Night Stalkers.

I know my neighbor is retired Army SF. He doesn't talk about it at all. The guy still runs every morning at 5 then lifts before work. He's a total bad arse.

There is a guy at work that claims to be an ex-seal but he talks about it way too much for him to be actually telling the truth.

Yup, my girlfriends sister is married to a seal. At their wedding, I got to meet 5-6 of them. It's very intimidating meeting these guys in person. They have seen shite you cannot believe and are the modern day version of the ultimate warrior. I still haven't heard any cool stories though. Maybe when we get older.

I haven't found them intimidating at all. Some of the warmest guys you'll be around if they like you and if you're family, they kinda give you a pass and just assume they'll like you. I went to my brothers BUDS graduation in San Diego and got to meet quite a few there but those guys were just burned right the hell out at that point. Got to watch another class humping logs and ribs up and down the beach. Got to tour the dive training tanks and pretty much the whole facility. Was cool as hell.
Got to play paintball with a few and absolutely annihilated them because they were playing SEAL which is not the same thing as paintball.
Great guys as long as they aren't at your bachelor party. Just take my advice on that one.

I don't know, maybe the guys I met were different. I'll have more stories in years to come if I join the fam
