I heard he was looking for a house in BR

If we're hiring him to replace Les Miles, I'm honestly torn on this one.

I don't think you know anything about DC. Everywhere is pretty much gentrified. Hell you can buy $1m homes in Trinidad and anacostia. He'd have to move to like Barry Farms.

Didn't they end the lifetime use of Secret Service protection for former presidents, starting with Obama? (Signed during Bushs reign, but he was grandfathered from my memory)

I would have thought they'd go back to Chicago.

Even the secret service can't protect him in Chicago.

they did after Clinton, then reinstated, with retro to include everyone, I guess they figured however shitty a president can be it's not worth having him/her used as bait for enemies

Shocked he doesn't want to move back to the Southside

Wait, no I'm not, because it's human nature to want the highest quality of living possible for you and your family

Their house on the Southside is actually in a pretty damn nice neighborhood itself. Hyde Park isn't quite Kalorama, but it's nothing to sneeze at, either. There are definitely quite a few homes in Hyde Park north of 2.8MM.

Like him or not, he is the President of the United States.
I'd be embarrassed for our country if he settled for something less.

I'm a Dole- Bush -Romney republican and we're all going to miss Obama because these toothless rubes voted for Trump. But this is a neighbohood thread not a politics thread.

Yes growing up in McLean has left me a bit clueless...

I never mentioned that he had to stay in DC, I was only commenting on the author of the article suggesting that he should revitalize an area with his presence being absurd.

And I grew up in Spring Valley, DC.

Eta: and while they live in Texas my parents still own a row house in Dupont.

Also I'm not arguing with you per se. The author is an idiot.

Why is that so funny? There is some cool arse neighborhoods in DC. Pussy galore. You aren't far from a handful of other cool arse cities. Ton of money there.
