Everyone should DEFINITELY call it the Super Bowl then. In fact, anything Badell wants anyone to do, everyone should do the opposite. Every time.

When nobody is around me, I whisper “superbowl” over and over, just to stick it to the man. Nobody is going to tell me what I can and can’t say.

Because Badell is stupid.

Why are we still allowed to say World Series, Final Four, Sugar Bowl, Rose Bowl, etc? Are those not trademarked?
Because the NFL has sticks shoved up their asses.

I’ve never understood how it hurts them to let businesses say Super Bowl in their ads/promotions.
This is why we will never donate to Susan G Komen...they actually sue anyone that uses a pink ribbon without express written consent. The point of the ribbon is to recognize Breast Cancer, but they are more selfish than the cause now. Its pathetic. They want the donations, not anyone else helping breast cancer...

Versus just letting anybody for whatever reason use “Super Bowl” is just flat dumb.
That silly nonsense and the overwhelming breathless hype about anything and everything turned me off to it.

White knighting for the National Fraud League is a little gay

It’s just an anecdotal observation watching and seeing advertisements and such. It wasn’t political, nor is there any hint of anything political about it - loon.

It’s awfully damn hypocritical considering how the name came from a rubber ball called Super Ball.
And for decades they wanted everyone to call it that. Hell it’s more American than the World Series (can I say that now?).
But here’s the problem - the professional league is at a critical junction because the way I see it there’s a hell of a lot more billionaires that do other stuff. These folks own space companies, internet platforms, vehicle manufacturing companies, retail platforms, etc. what if say these billionaires got together built say 20 stadiums sold naming rights, formed say 20 teams, and literally paid like say 3 times the going rate for a player in that other league? Then say those 20 team owners got together and started streaming those games on day one of their many social media platforms that they own? And then say they sold advertising? Oh and sports betting got involved? Legacy media is dying. The league that currently pays players has so many ridiculous platforms now (Netflix, Prime) that you have to have to watch one game, that they’ve literally stuck it to legacy media anyway. Then you add in the perceived bullshite calls or no calls and you have issues.
That league has kind of killed college football ( or it’s soonly headed that way). That league used to own a day of the week. But now we are forced to watch on saturdays, mondays, and fricking thursday’s (which that one is destroying the nfl - if not my fantasy team play).
Just start a new fricking league. Pay the shite out of the players. Stream it free on social media and advertise like crazy. Put sensors and AI in the balls, and the fields, etc so need for blown calls and then let those frickers play 80’s style smash mouth football. Game over. But we need those billionaires to buy in.
A few years of that and that other league will be begging folks to call it that name they stole from the children’s toy.
This whole thing is stupid. The Big Game my arse!
