Yield means let other road users go first. A yield sign assigns the right-of-way to traffic in certain intersections. If you see a yield sign ahead, be prepared to let other drivers crossing your road take the right-of-way. And don't forget about bicycles and pedestrians!

In other words stupid drivers, you don't need to come to a complete fricking stop if there is nothing to yield to.

Just be glad you aren't passing a flashing yellow light in Gonzales. They'll have traffic backed up 8 miles.

It took a little bit of time for drivers to get used to the roundabouts at LSU. Be patient, you won't ever get 100% of drivers entering them correctly but stopping will eventually be a rare occurrence.

a bigger problem is people hitting the on ramp at 70+ when they have a yield sign forcing motorists to change lanes or have an accident. Had this happen to me yesterday. I physically couldn't get over and the idiot had to pull onto the shoulder because his lane ended.

This happens all the time when getting off at the bluebonnet exit coming from prairieville. There's huge yield signs hanging over the two right lanes to let the left lane merge. Retards in the left lane will come to a complete stop. Timid drivers are the worst.

On ramps are designed for motorist to accelerate up to speed to merge.

But they should be wary enough to see if there is an issue as you describe and make an adjustment.

The bigger problem are those that merge in while only doing 40 or below

They really are.

Like the people exiting onto college from I-10 west coming to a complete stop (if going right)

It's its own lane. Not a merge.

I've almost rear ended a few idiots that stopped in front of me while we were in the traffic circle.

I understand that, but there a yield sign indicates your yielding to traffic is the most important thing, next is getting up to traffic speed.

Skillet, Baton Rouge wouldn't have these issues if it had a loop.

It pisses me off when I have to stop or slowdown to get on the interstate because some idiot is in the right lane and doesn't get over even when there's no one in the left lane. Some people are completely oblivious to the road and others driving around them.

BR still has train track crossings on busy major roads, so a loop would make too much sense.
