People don't want to hear this, but under GWB, he put a pandemic plan together, which was under homeland security. He had become aware that a pandemic is something that was a serious threat and that we needed to be prepared.
There were several billon that went into it, from the homeland security budget.. And his administration put together a "playbook" that had step by step instructions on how to slow it down from spreading, etc.
It was passed to Obama who then added to the playbook after his experiences dealing with H1N1, Ebola, etc..
In 2017 Trump completely did away with the pandemic section of HLS, which included lots of needed equipment, etc. For all of February he ignored it and into March.
That's the reason he tried to pass it off to the states, saying each state government should provide what was needed.
I know people will clap back and say "that's what the left media wants you to believe", but him getting rid of the pandemic part of HLS is a fact. His comments when asked about the pandemic early on proves he had no clue what to do.
He sat back and just hoped it would go away. According to him, it was just going to go away like a miracle likely sometime in April.
With that said, I wouldn't put that in an obituary.

the guilt & depression stemming from your loved one dying alone Is going to cause mental health issues for years imo
These people already have severe mental issues
So really the whole death thing is irrelevant

That's nice, puts a real good smile on my face about not wearing a mask for so long. Definitely adds encouragement to continue to not wear a mask. Thank you David Nagy.

That's a group of people that need to get hit by a train.

Read the article. He was in a nursing home and wanted to go home. The wife disagreed. The nursing home went into lockdown. He got sick there, went to the hospital and died. This woman is an absolute lunatic who is projecting her own guilt onto the President she despises so she doesn't look in the mirror and realize that her own selfishness in wanting her husband to stay in a nursing home lead to his death.

That article reveals he had all sorts of problems:
quote:
David had a list of medical conditions that increased his risk of becoming severely ill from COVID-19, Stacey told BuzzFeed News, including diabetes, heart problems, and early signs of dementia.
quote:
David had suffered a fall in late March that forced him to be hospitalized and then go into a nursing home to recover, Stacey told BuzzFeed News.

No he didnt. This was debunked months ago when it came out.
Obama never replenished the emergency supplies and it was never brought to Trump's attention.

I had a conversation on reddit about this. I was bashed in a subreddit because I came out staunchly against the mandate to wear masks.
Someone asked me if I would still be against it if my wife died. And I really did think about it, for like a half a day. And then I even talked to my wife about it. And I came to the conclusion that I would still be against the mask mandate if my wife died.
Something a lot of the people who are scared of this virus are realizing is the same thing many people who don't want to wear masks have realized a long time ago. Death is coming, and nobody on this earth owes you the courtesy of worrying about your death. And I know that sounds harsh, but if this Nagy fellow was really terrified of this virus, maybe he should have stayed inside. I know that if I was 80, I'm not gonna give a frick, because I'm 80. Death is already rapidly approaching, I could realistically die of a stroke within the week. You think I'm gonna wait a couple months because a virus is circulating? Absolutely not. And I definitely wouldn't expect anyone to cater to my needs while I decided to brave a pandemic. It's absolutely the most entitled thing I can imagine.
I get it. I've struggled with it for a very long time. Things can kill you. You can die at any moment from a brain aneurysm or a heart defect you didn't even know you had. And I know this virus is scary. But just because we had a reprogramming of our collective consciousness and most of America realized that they might die, that doesn't mean shite. Many of us have been dealing with that truth for a while and we didn't expect anyone to cater to us.
People die. Deal with it. Nobody owes anyone anything.
