Backlash against the Jaxtonlynn millenial single mom nonsense. Now traditional names that became less common in the last 50 years, like Frank and Henry, are trendy. I think it’s great

Frank isn’t on the 10 most popular list.
I’m kind of apathetic towards Henry.
But something like Theodore? I like Theodore’s national parks, but it seems like kind of a silly name in the 21st century.

Glad to see we’re moving past all the stupid fricking names.

It's just a T10 list. Stupid names aren't too far behind them.
This 2025 list looks little different than it did it 2015 or even 2010.

Not a lot of black names. I assume because they’re all spelled uniquely. Or younikquly. Or y’oo’neekli.

Eh, here is the most popular baby names in 2010, as a comparison.

Those boy’s names don’t really give me the impression of some novel set in England in the 19th century like the 2025 names do. (Although the girl’s names were kind of already headed in that direction by then.)

Gotta say I’m surprised to see “ Evelyn” in the top 10 for girls. I had a great aunt as a kid named Evelyn. She was born during WWI, though I’m not sure exactly when. The great-uncle she was married to was born in 1914, so sometime around then.
I also had great aunts named Mildred, Dorthy, Margaret, and Euthemia. And my grandmother who raised me was named Edna. I don’t see those names making a comeback anytime soon.
