It's second to Nola for the State in skylines and it isn't close.

Name a better one? Because it ain't BR, LC, Laffy, Alex, or Monroe.

ETA: Knoxville's isn't that great but its a great city.

As a Shreveport native, the Shreveport/Bosier skyline is the only impressive thing in the city.

Yeah, I'm not saying Shreveport is the best city in Louisiana. We are talking buildings here.

Fargo, ND's skyline is trash.

I've never been to Moscow, but from what I could gather its skyline is pretty cool

Baton Rouge and Tulsa OK both look like they are still in the Eastern Bloc. Brutal architecture done the people's way.

I don't know that there is an official law on the books, but Baton Rouge has sort of a traditional understanding that no building will be taller than the Capitol -- which was the tallest building in the entire South when built.

Gives the place a rather stubby looking skyline.

Ours is kinda nice for a very small city, if you count the mountains.

The problem is not the lack of height but the lack of density of tall buildings. There’s only a small number of buildings over 5 stories.

Nah, they talked about it but just a few days ago their leader friendly fired the idea into oblivion. I feel confident it ain't happening.

I was kinda shocked I made it 7 pages into this thread and no one had said Knoxville. Its the drabby brown colors of everything, mixed in with dirty overpasses that do it for me.

Only thing not making it #1 for me is the fact that Birmingham exists.

Buckhead leaving Atlanta probably wouldn’t be a great idea for Buckhead. With that said, it has a pretty impressive skyline considering it’s miles away from the main Atlanta skyline.

I'll also add that UT's campus once you get away from the very old area around the hill is pretty ugly.

Knox and the small towns and suburbs around it are awesome. Not super familiar with Atlanta but I know they have different clusters of skyscrapers. Buckhead is just a suburb area right, not like a skyscraper dense area?

Also, for BR I want it to be a good skyline so bad but yeah, it is just so spread apart and nothing is super tall anymore. They could add some stuff (although that would require making LA a business friendly state) and probably buying up land on the other side of I-110 and I-10 to the south of the bridge.

Of course, people like you have to make it a shat on SHV thread. So damn annoying.
Anyway…Austin has an impressive skyline. I can’t stand that city anymore since it’s turning into a mini SanFrancisco
