The mortgage + property tax on this Bay Area home is only $67K per month

Not that anyone buying this home will be shopping around for a 30-yr fixed. But still, $14K per month in property taxes...damn.

$14k/month seems not too bad on $12m. NYC is lower than some of the surrounding counties yet its about $20k/yr/$1M. Michael Dell’s new condo at One 57 would be about $2m per year.

There has always been a cap on MID as far as I can remember. It is currently capped at $750k

Nope I am not being sarcastic. Here is a house that is on like 4x the land for $1.5M.

The house itself is about 3k less sqft, but you can easily add that on for a mil or so and be left with the same house on a much larger property.
