The Mayor of New Orleans is a pathetic, petulant, petty little girl.

HER office failed in putting people in charge of the Fire Department who could properly staff our firehouses. Then, when they did not do their damn jobs and the firefighters are working more than firefighters are supposed to work she starts her vindictive and petty attacks. She take away their vacation and then pays outside firefighters to come in and take overtime from those who want to work it. Now, this pettiest of moves. These moves carried about by a Chief who made a fortune in overtime while tearing down statues for a former Mayor.
Of course, this is a say after she asks where has Hard Rock been regarding the collapse. Hard Rock, of course, put up the five million dollars for the crane demolition while the developers who bankrolled the Mayor's election put up NADA. This is another reason why GOOD businesses often avoid considering New Orleans.

Stacy Head is a Democrat who disagrees with me on a number of issues but she would have made a great Mayor. But you are correct in your analysis. She tried to reform the Pension scheme for the leaders at SWB and was branded a racist.

I know some NOFD people and they have hated this guy for sometime. I haven't spoken to any of them recently but it should be a boiling pot of hate going on right now...

That's true. But for the people who can afford to have the same standard of living in both, it doesn't make sense to stay.
