This. I'm really not looking to hear from people who say well it's not AS bad as people are making it out to me. Point blank tax paying residents should have a say if they want these things built near them or not and that's not whats happening.

Dont be against data centers if you're rooting for self driving 18 wheelers. The amount of real time data that will be needed to process everything thats happening on the road will be gigantic for over 2 million trucks on the road.
Or we can just raise hiring standards and pay to what it was 20 years ago and quit recruiting trash out of the ghettos, trailer parks, and 3rd world countries.

Most of those people are offered multiples of the market rate for their properties and are demanding multiples of that. They figure if they make enough noise the builders will pay it. They're wrong.

I'm more referring to the people who have to continue to live near it and share a water and power grid
