The Little Cajun Saint Performs Another Miracle

It's a story of faith, hope, and what some are calling a miracle after a New York mother, Sophie Stansbury, gave birth to a healthy baby girl despite dire prenatal diagnoses. The family attributes their daughter’s healing to the intercession of Charlene Richard, known locally in Louisiana as “The Little Cajun Saint.”
quote:
Sophie was 33 weeks pregnant and had been told her unborn daughter suffered from severe brain abnormalities, including ventriculomegaly and pontocerebellar hypoplasia, conditions that typically result in significant disabilities or early death. Doctors suggested termination as a "merciful option."
quote:
On December 27, Sophie gave birth to Charlene Marie Stansbury, a baby girl whose initial NICU assessments and follow-up tests, including an MRI, showed no signs of the predicted abnormalities. The child is healthy, passing all medical evaluations with flying colors.

I honestly thought you meant Landry.

These doctors need to be hanged for everyone to see as a “merciful option” so they don’t kill any more babies for no reason. I don’t understand how terminating a pregnancy and not giving the baby the chance to be normal is considered merciful. Doctors cry about how no one listens to them anymore but I’ve been around a lot of them and very rarely do I feel like I’m talking to a legitimately smart person

The doctors probably misdiagnosed the baby in the womb by entering the wrong algorithmic data in their iPad.

After interacting with enough doctors when they're off the clock, you'll realize that they may not quite be the pillars of knowledge and science that we've propped them up to be.

I’m as pro-life as they come, but the pagan/voodoo variant is incredibly disturbing.

Because most of the time they are correct.

If you believe then no explanation is necessary. If you do not believe then no explanation is good enough.

I believe God heals. And doesn’t heal. According to his perfect will.
As a cessationist (properly defined), I don’t believe in pagan demiurges (or “saints”—the true saints are the body of believers) interceding on our behalf.

Catholics preach against idolatry but when good things happen, God doesn't get the glory...some dead jerkoff whose grave they ride by 3 times a day does.
God just can't win with some of you.

Haha. My point more bluntly put.
ETA: I forgot to throw in the term “necromancy.” Consider it thrown.

The mother needs to write to the doctors every year on her daughter’s birthday to say that they were wrong so that they don’t attempt to kill unborn babies again.

Well, this is the dirty secret for all the professions - lay people think you know everything with some mathematical certainty or something, but of course you don't. While we are all well educated, professional opinions are still best guesses because you just never know what will happen.

So killing the baby 100% of the time is a merciful end to a life with a 3% survival rate? If not more? Idiotic take

Even if it was 0% chance and pain to the baby would be terrible you would have the doctors hung for even suggesting termination....

The Charlene Richard story is an incredible story of faith.
