go to concerts. Watch football. Stay active outside. Life is better now. No reason to get heated over every injustice. Live your life and let the scumbags in DC do their bullshite. They don’t care about us anyways. Just a bunch of fear mongers.

I get it but burying your head in the sand won’t make your problems go away. If you’re worried about your kids and grandkids you need to act.

that's what i was thinking.

might be a good suggestion if you're a housewife with a rich husband or something... not so much if you have any real responsibility. you have to know when something like a food shortage is about to happen, for example.

Anyone know of a way to cope with all of this without going completely off the grid?

It already has. Younger people don’t notice it because they weren’t around when this country was strong and United.

This is frequently trotted out. However, what is the average person to do get gas down 50% to where it was? What about getting the grocery bill down 40% to where it was three years ago?

you cant control that, but you can control how much money you make. so find a better job or find a side hustle.

hat about worrying about where Russia is going to nuke next?

if you stayed off the poliboard and stopped watching the news would you really beleive that russia is abotu to nuke anything? if they nuke ukraine...does it affect you in some way?

quote:

The problem is that all of this is self-inflicted, and nobody that works in a Walmart or in Baton Rouge, or most people in Houston, asked or wanted any of this. But we are all f*cked.

you really are a miserable person

quote:

Our 401ks have largely collapsed, our 529s have collapsed, but now we're making 2.5% on our savings accounts, amirite?

are you planning to retire in the next 10 years? if not, then stop worrying about it, it will come back. less than 15 years ago in 09, the market hit under 7k......so we have a 400% gain in last 13 years...chill the frick out dude.

quote:

Many presidents have done dumb crap. Few have done the amount of dumb crap we've seen in 2 years to actually cripple American families (family is the key word to avoid criticism) than we have currently experienced.

other than inflation(which started with trump btw with the stupid arse covid spending bill and doubled down on by biden) wtf has really affected you? Dont like the culture crap, put your kid in a great private school and raise them right.

quote:

This is why White Bear and I are frustrated.

But, like literary heroes of yore, I will just keep f*$king working. I'll work harder, travel more, etc., and we'll make it fine (I think at least, cause I'm not a quitter). What about the people that make half what I do? It's OK, we're "transitioning" (off of carbon, off of gender standards, blah blah.)

bro...you wont find many people that like whats going on in politics. i didnt when O was president....hell i didnt like half the shite W did....so wtf am i supposed to do...sit around and be miserable for 2 fricking decades?

or maybe...just maybe...i realize that what happens in the white house doesnt have a huge effect on what happens in my house because i can control what happens in my house. I cant control the white house or congress or anythng else in washington other than voting.

so take your kids and go fishing, go throw a ball, go hunting.....just stay off social media and turn off the tv other than for a game. Thats what i have done the last couple years and i am a much happier person for it.

personally if you are that miserable, have more kids and raise them to be into sports....you wont have enough time to worry about stupid shite going on.
