Spend $6,000 and you get a big piece of rubber/plastic that you get to clean up. Real cool. + a monthly $9.99/month subscription to whatever company offers this service.

Still cheaper and less of a hassle than a gf/wife.

The fact it has stayed largely the same as it was 20 years ago and hasn’t devolved into bloated bullshite is what makes it great.

I'm sure there's some cool shite out there but I don't really have the desire to figure it out or use it.

Trying to think of what the next thing could be that changes everyday life as much as the internet and cell phones did. Maybe self driving cars?

10 years ago google could give you an answer that was 95%+ as efficient and accurate as chat GPT.

In 2004 I was blow away that there was this phone called a blackberry that people could use to open up excel documents. I wanted one, but they were a little too expensive for me at the time. In 2005 my department all received free ipods for so many safety hours and I was able to put just over 100 songs on it.

In 2003, I remember still working for a parish department and blowing my bosses fricking mind when I was using.. I think it was google map.. Or some map online to keep track of all the new construction sites and what permit stage they were in.

At that point he decided we needed to do more things electronically because he was tired of going through all of the fricking paper work every
time he had to find something.

I remember getting my electronic hand controls in my van in 2002 and how amazed people were and received many responses like "what will they think of next".

Today we all have devises that are apart of u.s and how we live day to day

Uh ... Last time I checked, "15 years ago" would be part of, "20 years ago."

I can't understand why everything on cell phones have gotten better except the phone. I thought by now, they would have landline quality. Have you talked on a landline anytime recently and experienced the difference? Many have forgotten how crystal clear it sounds.

But I'll agree that people just want to sit on their arse and play on their phone all day. I would rather do things also. People have changed in our society. I think that the microwave radiation from the cell towers have changed everyone's brains. I grow a garden in my yard and people look at me like this is weird.

I think I heard someone say something to the effect of the phone is just an app on the phone that you get pissed at when people try to use it

They were saying years ago that they were going to make a phone that holograms would pop out of. They also said that they were going to make phones that were charged by solar power. What happened to that? When I was a kid and I thought about the future, I thought life was going to be like the Jetsons, or 'Back to the Future II' where they had flying skateboards.
