Should people back the badge even if they are criminals themselves? I back law enforcement but fck those crooked ones just like the POS thugs in the street. As a matter of fact the crooked police are worse than the thugs because they hide behind the badge.

The biggest issue with law enforcement is that quite a few cops are really trashy people who went to the military to straighten out their lives, then entered law enforcement. They are still trashy to the core and some of them cannot resist the temptations.

You're gonna sit here and bash our cops AND our military?

Some nerve, boy.

Pretty surreal and I definitely feel bad for all the good cops getting a bad name for this. Lock these guys up and throw away the key.

Police cannot be corrupt.

Scruffy keeps hearing how the law enforcement agencies like the FBI should not be questioned.

Nancy Pelosi told Scruffy so.

We also don't need guns because the cops will always be there for us.

Considering the risks and pay, is it really a surprise that people attracted to a career in law enforcement are more crooked than most?

Garbage men die at higher rates than cops... would not accept or tolerate this from them.

You guys didn’t thing they wrote The Wire from scratch I hope? All of that shite came from officers talking to the writers.

I was in Baltimore in a crosswalk and had a marked police cruiser speed up and almost hit me. To the point I ran out of the way. Was in a bar that night with a buddy that was a Lieutenant there and described the officer driving. He called her on the radio and made her come apologize. She said she just “hates it when people are in the crosswalk” whatever that means.

Either some cities have made the application process much easier or these guys are good at lying.

I applied years back and they had all kinds of character and financial questions that were obviously trying to see if you were going to steal evidence or cash for personal gain. Questions about debt, outstanding financial obligations, and the like.

It's not a defense of officers, it's simply a fact. There are plenty of good cops, but there are far more that are dirty than the "back the blue" folks would have you think.

It's still very difficult to be an officer.

You not only must be in decent physical shape, but you must pass a pretty thorough background investigation, polygraph, psych exam, interview with senior officers, and then make it through the academy.

There's only so much you can do to stop shitbags.

So they're either good at lying or corrupted by the power they get when they put the badge on.

Either way isn't good.

Completely agree. I have always believed that kill or be killed environments like Baltimore turn everyone to shite, even previously good cops.

If I had to guess, they were corrupted after they were hired. It's pretty hard to sneak through a police hiring process and be that dirty.

This is some Len Davis type stuff. That’s the former NOPD on death row, for you young ones.
