Got it back together correctly and now it isn't working again

I've had the same issue recently, older Kenmore 110 model known for its reliability and ease to fix.
The 110 model is made by Whirlpool. Very good machines. Kenmore makes nothing.
As for Washers and Dryers, Speed Queen, they are still the top of the line.
If you want one in BTR, make an appointment with Kathy, at Stanton’s tell her Dad sent you.
They don’t sell LG or Samsung, they don’t have enough room for the parts to keep them operational.

I'm about a year into my Speed Queen after going through 2 washers in 5 years. I'm never looking back.

Mine's unbalanced.
My handyman couldn't fix it.
Clothes wash but come out soaking wet.

Did you remember to turn the water back on?
It is doing the same thing (sounds etc) as before or is it something else?

Same sounds but could not have clogged again
Yeah water was back on.
I gave up and already ordered a cheap Samsung to be like Winnie.
ETA: I don't expect it to last to 2030

That Samsung won’t be so cheap when you have to replace it or have it repaired regularly. Good luck, though.

That is why I got the cheap one
There are no long-term options anymore

It really depends on what the issue is. If it’s a $90 part and I get a couple more years out of it, why not? You can find discussions online that will help you isolate the problem and then there are videos that would give you an idea if it is something you can handle yourself. I’ve fixed a ton of things myself and I don’t consider myself especially handy. I just use deductive reasoning and the internet.

As I said, the way the layout is, it's ridiculously tight. I live in an old (100+ year old) house that wasn't built for laundry rooms and it's a PITA.
You can look at the Miehle which are sized for European setups. Expensive, but state of the art.
LG makes a washer/dryer that is a single unit (and ventless), expensive, but it is a single cabinet instead of 2 units. LG also has a stackable setup you could consider.

Get a Speed Queen. Stainless steel, rust proof drum. Will use the hottest water that your water heater is set to and kills 99.7% of bacteria. You can get the old school T5 which has the knobs and a Deep Fill button so you don’t have to deal with the high efficiency water level crap. Has a 5 year warranty. Or you can get the T7 which has the keypad and a 7 year warranty. Will last about 20 years. It’s a no brainer. They’re on a national sale right now. You can get them in white or matte black.

Samsung is the LAST washing machine you want to get.

Congrats SFP!
I've had my Samsung w/d set for 3 years without a problem and they get used a ton. Look awesome too with my 100" kitchen sofa as a backdrop

Samsung and LG are the worst dryers on the market. They take 2-3X longer to dry than Speed Queen or GE.

Speed Queen is the long term option. Every time. You’ll buy 3-4 Samsungs to make the longevity of a Speed Queen.

The drain from the basket is internal and the exterior drain hose is at the top of the unit for some reason so that won't work.
What if you shoot a little air back into the unit through the drain line. May dislodge the clog enough to let it through or stayed clogged. Haven't lost anything really but some time.

FWIW, I did this, a snake, AND my shop vac last night
The obstruction was in the actual pump (found that out today).

I inherited an old Kenmore washer & dryer set in my house from the 90's. Those things are built like tanks. A repair guy told me to NEVER get rid of them for the reasons stated in this thread.
