I don't have local info and wondered about even posting this and clogging up this information thread. Just wishing everyone involved the best possible outcome. We just had an event, sorta similar, last year down here in the coastal region of SC. I emphasize with the affected. Good luck all!

My son started PreK last week. He's keeping his dad and mom together right now. We aren't entertaining him; he's entertaining us.

No flood stages, but probably about 18'.

Would traveling fromLake Charles to Lafayette be impossible? Obviously don't want to put anyone at risk.

Lafayette is getting pummeled. ...I personally wouldn't.

Made it through about 4 hours ago. Looked like they were closing the interstate around Jennings behind me basically. Don't know the state of it now.

16 feet Homes along Highland Road and Burbank Drive will be flooded. Both streets will be impassable. Major roads will be impassable. Access to property along the river is cut off. Homes along Kendalwood Road that are not elevated will be flooded. Extensive backwater flooding will occur along Bayou Fountain and Bayou Manchac
Projected to be 3 feet higher than 1983 Fwiw. Anything down river may get worse before it gets better unfortunately. Stay safe and stay smart.
