anyone know if there was any flooding in the goodwood/lobdell area around the new library?

A friend who lives across Goodwood from the library said he didn't flood at all.

Is that building with the red roof a restaurant? Trying to get oriented looking at that pic

I'm sure it's been discussed, but i've been absent from this thread for a couple days, so i haven't kept up. I'm hearing reports of the waters rising again. WHere is this happening? BR, Ascension? Also, what is the status of I10 from BR to New Orleans? I heard that was shutting down again at parts.

I would appreciate any summation someone could give me.

I think Bayou Manchac at I-10 is filling up again.

I think others on the Alligator Bayou thread have said the I10 water is actually a little south of Bayou Manchac near Bluff Road and likely coming from the Alligator Bayou/Swamp areas there (where I-10 turns to the right going to New Orleans by Bluff Road).

Google maps is showing that Old Jefferson is still closed where it goes over Bayou Manchac but Waze is trying to send me that way to get to Gonzales.

Which is it?

Old Jefferson is open Airline to Hoo Shoo Too. Can't speak for past that, but I think it's all open.

Probably already posted but:

Does anyone have a good graphic or link that shows all of the waterways in Baton Rouge and how water typically flows through the Tri-parish area?

That's going to be a helluva graphic. I've spent all week tracking all the bayous and creeks to try to see how everything flows together but the problem is you have a lot of backflow going on right now so it was making my heads spin.

I'm a huge map nerd and I was thinking this same thing. This situation made me realize how little I know about all of the waterways around here.

You can look back to Saturday night/Sunday morning, and see if supernovasky ever showed on a map where they were all supposed to flow. I know he did some great work with showing where the backflow would head.

ETA: Searching his posts would be your best bet of finding it here. I'll search the interwebs to see if I can find anything.

ETA2: LINK

The link has ALOT of information, and I don't really have the time to read it all right now, but it may have some information y'all are looking for...
