I would suspect it will take several feet of rise in the Panama Canal before Pelican Point or Pelican Crossing would see any water on the roads. Right now it is at 4.58. It would have to get to at least 7 feet.

Early in the storm they were flooded in. Front entrance, back entrance, and Beau Douglas were impassable. Drove through last night and everything was fine.

What kind of flooding can the Gramercy area expect?

Coming through Denham this morning about 6:00 was spooky. No light anywhere and lots of fog. 190 is just destroyed. Horrible.

I went though there about 9 last night and it was very spooky. It was hard to see since it was so dark, but just so much devistation

Makes two of us, have you seen any other projections about what will and won't flood in the area?
The backflow is just getting to us. The gauges down river are leveling off and some are dropping but we should still see a rise along the Panama Canal.
Any idea on how much it will rise?
Additionally, anyone in the area needs to pay attention to the gauges but when it hits the Panama gauge next to PP, it will be too late if it does flood.

First, let me say that this is a trivial post in light of what you guys are dealing with. My entire family live in La and although I moved to NC 22 years ago, my heart breaks for you guys. Many years ago my wife and I built our first house together on Bear Cave road in Watson. If any of you are familiar with that road..Deepwoods Subdivision, if I recall correctly, could you let me know the status? Pictures would be awesome. It would help my friends here in NC understand the magnitude.

Will or has the flood waters gotten into Reserve? My Grandmother lives right off of Airline...

Traffic on airline highway in Prairieville is still very heavy and slow moving. Looks a little better than the past two days though

It's amazing. Aqua Marine looks like their windows all shattered. Drove down Connie and Woodcrest yesterday. The devastation was everywhere. The helpless looks on people's faces made me cringe. The magnitude of this event is staggering.

I know these numbers are coming from the Insurance Commissioner, but I find them hard to believe, especially in New Orleans.

Anybody know were a Veterinarian is needed in the BR area? My daughter is off today and heading into BR and she is willing to give her services.
I will text her the info.

No. I've just been checking the gauges every hour. It's leveled off now with the slightest uptick. I have no idea what's caused the leveling off.... but it worries me that it has stopped dropping. I can't seem to find any relevant info out there. I'll post if I do and you do the same
Here is a link a Bill Dawsons facebook....Ascension Parish councilman. He's been updating the situation. He hasn't updated since last AM thought. Yesterday's post does have links to the water gauges though

I did tell her that and yes, she will pass there. There are Vet students there, but she doesn't know if a Vet is there to help. Her and I are sending kennels and dog/cat food.
