Should I have any problems traveling down Burbank forwards the Bluebonnet Walmart coming from the direction of LSU?
FYI we went there yesterday and they are almost completely out of food.

Read my post at the top of the page. Yes they do help, but search the internet if you wanna find out about how much they don't help out also. A lot of old army vets hate them because people in the US would donate things, and the Red Cross would then turn around and sell those donated items to military members.
Much better helping small companies, charities, churches, etc. That stuff goes directly to people who need it

If serving food cooked by others is a liability issue, I am surprised they are letting the Cajun Navy transport people in their boats.
in some instances they were stopped..

I'm seeing some storms developing out over the gulf and gaining power by the minute, looks to be heading directly towards the BR area. If they continue to grow at the rate that they have over the last hour, it could bring some decent sized storms to the area yet again. What's the local weather saying about this? I'll post radar pics shortly.

Have a female co-worker worried about Highland near Pecue. Is that passable by truck, or is noone going through there? Thanks!

if I'm trying to get to the corner of old Perkins and swamp road, what is the best route?
I know I can't come from the Santa Maria side. is old Jefferson open?

She has DEMCO right? Last I saw they've only restored parts of central and Greenwell springs. My neighborhood had 0 flooding and I haven't had power since Sunday morning. Not sure why it's taking longer to restore power to areas unaffected by flooding than to some of the more flooded areas
yep, and close by in Entergy areas, the power never went out!!!

as long as these storms move through at a normal speed, it shouldn't be an issue in terms of flooding.

Only route is to take Airline then turn onto Old Perkins. It also depends on where you're coming from.

I just made the following loop with my family in tow:
Old Dutchtown Subdivision to 74 West to Bluff Road to C Braud Road to 73 to 621 to K C Road to Babin Road to 74 West and back to OD Sub.
Comments:
Water at the front (at 74) of Oak Alley Estates but at the time it wasn't "flowing over" 74 from Swamp.
Water still not yet on the road at the intersection of C Braud and Bluff but its right at the bridge-driveway heading back to the west.
Very shallow water on the road right at the bridge where the Grand Goudine hydro point is reading.

Any truth to the possible evacuation of Lamar Dixon? I've heard the rumor for a few days but someone just called from there asking.

I hate when fake weathermen start posting their weather predictions.
