From that model it looks like the worst of it wont fall directly on the area, which is a good thing. But ANY more rain at this point is only a bad thing, even if it's light. Hopefully these cells don't continue to strengthen at their current rate or organize any further. Maybe they'll die down when they're over land instead of the warmer gulf waters.

Will water from rain just north of BR reach the impacted rivers and bayous quickly enough to create more issues if that model is correct? I honestly don't know as much about river and stream flow as I do storm models and tracking.

We're getting some heavy rains up here in Arkansas, but nothing compared to y'all. Sports rivals don't matter right now, all of Arkansas is thinking about and praying for everyone down there.

511la is showing LA73 over Manchac as open, is the bridge closed? Trying to get the in-laws into Shenandoah, currently on LA 73, what's the best way to tell them to try to get here?

My map show's it's still closed, and based on what I saw there 2 days ago, I'd assume it's still closed.

Use Airline for stretch. I can't help you further than that.

the bridge itself is passable.. however the road about a half mile on either side is not..

GO US 61 - airline...
