Update from Keystone at Galvez.

Lake in the middle is still rising (pic of it on the bottom of this post). Still needs to rise a few feet before it reaches the houses on the lakeside. We are all praying the backflow stops before then.

On a negative note. Devall road going out of the back of Keystone has about 5 feet of water going over it. Saw some EMT's near Sevario road. We are officially on an island out here. The pond out on Devall road is still about 4-5 feet from reaching the houses in Keystone that line that pond.

The people living down Devall road between Keystone and Sevario need prayers as the water is getting very bad down that road and rising.

I'm located across from the Country Club of Louisiana and we're still seeing the water rise.

@ 11pm @ 13"

@12:30 @ 14"

@2:30@ 16"

(We experienced 16" on Saturday.)

All back flow I presume from Perkins Road and Bayou Manchac.

I understand the curfew but the water rising around 431 and 931 is less than 5 mins from me and yet I can't go check to see where it is or where it's going

On the NW end, in Summerlyn by Prairieville Middle, the drainage has backed up and the street is almost filled with water and rising. The street should be completely covered by sunrise unless it starts receding.

Update from Lake Martin- water about to be in the house across from the church. Water covers Robin Train all the way to L Kellher. Water crossing from north to south on Greg Brignac Lane.

Everyone at the lake is out of power as well. Just playing the waiting game now.

Just read this on FB:

quote:

We are right off 42 between Louisiana nursery and Leblanc's. Waiting for the water to come in. We will be evacuating at daylight.

And another:

quote:

Water is coming up slowly. We are on 429 down from Holy rosary. Sending prayers

So it's definitely happening in the Prairieville area at the moment.

Just got word that the water is now coming into my husband's grandfather's house on Buxton Road in St. Amant. We live next door to him, but we are about 6.5ft up (we're in a trailer that is above base flood elevation)

Anyone know if you can take 10 west at Siegen all the way to 49 N at Lafayette right now, or do you have to get on 190?

Waze shows you can get to i49 intersection, but no further on 1-10. So you should be good.

I appreciate Waze but don't trust it enough to risk getting stuck on the interstate. Sometimes people don't report closures/flooding.

Black Bayou is bad at 431, but about a quarter of a mile to the west it's dry all the way to Airline. The water in the ditches is flowing west at a pretty good rate.
