Just got to safety.
Called my neighbors who stayed. Water still rising. It was in the yards when I left. If I hadn't left then I would have been stuck.
No clue how much higher it's gonna get but I may well lose everything, like many others.

How about start a new thread about how profits are going to be made on the backs of many people's sufferings.
This thread isn't about that. It's informative and helping others in this desperate time of need.

People should decide whether to stay or go now. These bridges and roads are going to get cut off very soon, and travel around south Baton Rouge won't be possible.

This has been the issue for tons of people. I just don't comprehend the desire to sit in a home when you'll be stuck for hours if you don't leave now. Where is the upside in that decision? There is only downside.

The Great Flood of 2016: Backwater Flooding Occuring (8/14/16)
Hey supernova - where you seeing the river crest at the moment?
Working its way up Highland right now in terms of backwater.
In terms of crest, still hasn't reached Manchac Point far as I can tell.

No it's not. My Instagram feed from any business in NOLA was about RDR and their business. It isn't their fault if they don't know, but I'm certainly not lying. Maybe you don't follow bars/restaurants/hotels?
