New Orleans news hs been shite regarding this

I saw nothing but Red Dress Run photos and pleas to "come drink/eat with us tonight!" from businesses on Instagram. Even saw one call the weather "absolutely lovely" while I was reading about people on their roof here.
I understand -- it hasn't affected them and it isn't their fault it isn't all over their media. But I had to get off social media.

Ward Creek is DEFINITELY back flowing at highland near healing place.
Water coming out of storm drains in front of healing place and ABC. Both sides of highland.
One lane will be impassible soon.
Don't know if both will

Thanks a ton for the update. Can you get pictures?

I was just at the Bayou Manchac bridge over Old Jefferson (73). Water flowing west at a pretty good clip.

Anybody know how Siegen Marketplace is looking? I'm supposed to head up there later today. Looks like road closures are further down on I-12.

I know because I just canceled several flights I had for this week, and none knew of our situation. AA even refused to waive the $200 fee as of right now.

This makes me furious as an elite with them. When are your flights this week? I want to help you out and get them to remove that change fee

Westhaven sub off of burbank near bluebonnet is flooded just had to help a buddy out. 2 feet of water and rising. Luckily most of the houses there are raised. I dont see immediate danger to water in the houses but water is in garages.

My brother lives in that area at an elevation of 29'. He should make it out fine based on predictions, but who knows.

What is your expert opinion on the Amite seemingly receding so fast?

By and large it's doing what they expected it to do. It isn't supposed to crest farther south until noon on Monday at Bayou Manchac and 8pm or so on Monday at Port Vincent.

So does that mean that the front of Camelot is ok?

Just looked at some hi-res models that show Gonzales may get two inches of rain starting at 3

Latest HRRR and HRRRp are both showing scattered areas of 1-2" and radar certainly point towards this. Overall, this will have little impact but could cause localized flash flooding.

We are slightly below predicted crest. Getting ready to sand bag now and keeping fingers crossed.

Cant confirm. I just know that harrells ferry at least to WR subdivision is passable. Cant drive into entrance into WR though. Id suspect that Camelot is similar. Prob cant drive into it.

Posted in the Outdoor Thread. Hard to keep track of everything in here but is this the place to post if someone needs a rescue near Denham Springs? Or is the outdoor board the best place for that?

Highland Club would be the first to see water come in and the first to see it go out. What's the water level doing there? It could help everyone upstream know what to expect.

My buddy just texted me back and said the water is still rising in Highland Club Estates.
