Question for you guys....

Have a friend who hasn't heard from her parents since 1am last night. Her parents live @ ONeal and Harrell's Ferry. Is everyone out of there at some point? Just trying to get information.

The creek next to the district was a foot away from the parking lot. Will this creek get much higher due to backflooding?

It's on Perkins by pollard estates

Anyone know if Highway 16 South is flooded out? My brother is trying to get from Amite City to Watson

I'm at the corner of 16 and 1019. We went north a little ways and it looked clear. No guarantee tho

manchac crossing ave

I know it's not comforting to hear, but honestly it should be ok here. I'm right across Old perkins and my house elevation is around 30 feet. The LSU maps show the elevation on Manchac Crossing around 26-27 feet. If the Amite crests at Bayou Manchac at 21 feet, then at worst Bayou Manchac itself shouldn't get any higher than that. He should be fine

That is what he is saying. If true, that makes me feel much better.

Runnels, which is right down the road from that intersection, is completely flooded. Make sure they are out.

SuNov -

Backflow is occurring on Weiner creek where it crosses sherwood near american way. You can see it flowing backwards. Water is as high as I have ever seen it.

Thanks, they have about 1.5 to 2 vertical feet of wiggle room right now before it gets to the weep holes, hopefully it crests before then.
