If anyone can give me any help it would be deeply appreciated.
I'm currently in Denver for work. I can leave if need be, but I'm not sure I could get to my home in my vehicle anyways. I know the area roads are flooded.
My wife and two little ones (under 2yrs old) are back home and she knows the roads are closed around her, but is trying to make a decision on if she should leave. We currently have no standing water, but I am reading about all of the backwater you guys are posting about.
I live off of 42 in the Hobart area, Jamestowne court subdivision to be specific. Can someone give me an idea of should be worried? She I have her get out of there? News here in Denver isn't helpful. The my best resource has been you guys which you've been great as usual.
Thanks in advance for responses.

I haven't heard of anything terrible about Hwy 14 I know water is almost over the bridge in Delcambre, but was still passible this morning. He should be good on 90 to get to 14. I haven't passed there since yesterday, so my info is from yesterday. Sorry I can't update further on today. If I hear something I will post for you

14 was closed between Delcambre and Erath last I saw.
As of this morning, LA State Police were reporting 14 is closed from 90 to Erath due to flooding at various locations.

Walker PD are turning everyone around just south of Florida.
Carters on Walker Road/Florida just opened and there was a line to get into the store.

Morning everyone how's it going?
I'll get back to posting after I've had my coffee but it certainly looks like some flooding occurred along Hurricane, Jones creeks. Backflow along Clay Cut doesn't seem to have penetrated far into the city far as I can tell from reading the comments, anyone confirm? And as for back flow on Fountain, we have several hours until the crest is as Manchac Point.

I was told this work if AT&T phone is down. Haven't tried it but worth a shot.
For those on AT&T without phone service, you can use Wi-fi calling. Go to settings, phone, then enable wi-if calling. It's free if calling in country.

most of the cell sites in the BR area are on ground level except if they're adjacent to a river. Also, cell sites require transport back to a central office. In all likelyhood, that transport path is now underwater.
