Anyone know of any organized plan/group for folks with boats tomorrow morning? Have a shallow water boat and want to help out. Sounds like more will need help. I'm over in Riverbend (by LSU), so getting across town may be a little tricky. Any ideas or can someone point me in right direction. Thanks.
Here's a facebook group that might help:

You need context. The lines are literally the bayous and what would flood would be those areas adjacent or close to them.

From Shawnlsu....
If anyone want to help tomorrow, I've heard of a staging area on Choctaw around N Sherwood. I'm going to check in the morning and see if there are any other areas that need help.
This would be a prime time for approved OTers to have PM privileges

The arrows are showing directions of water flow in bodies of water based on elevation levels, if I interpreted it correctly when he explained it. Not literal pathways of water.
We'd be screwed!

Does someone who does not have flood insurance have any type of assistance at all available to them for repairs? Does the insurance company have zero liability?

Do you have Facebook? If so search Louisiana Flood Rescue - August 2016

Catman it's not good bro. Just went and rescued 3 families from behind auto zone that had no where else to go. When I got there around 1130 water was barely over autozone road. By the Tim we got out it was waist deep as rushing as fast as you could imagine accross Walker south I front of Winn Dixie and McDonald's. I have no idea how it got so bad, but I barely made it over the interstate. North if 12 is fricked. Never been so scared in my life. Have 13 people sleeping in my house that had nowhere to go. Shelters are flooded it's worse than bad

that was the longest 24 seconds of my life.

That wasn't really a projection. It was current status. The downstream tributaries like clay cut just recently started back flooding and manchac is supposed to start either tomorrow or Monday in the am
