So the people of St George are seeing their tax dollars collected and shipped away to the king in BR
I keep reading this but I've not seen anyone provide any data proving it.

Maybe you can do so.

And please don't repeat that worn out and unproven mantra of the $52,000,000 in the Local Services Agreement on the EBR 2014 budget. That does not come close to proving that the "people of St George are seeing their tax dollars collected and shipped away to the king of BR."

First of all, the LSA covers the entire parish, not just the proposed SG area. That "parish" includes the Exxon plant, which is not within the city limits of BR. It's surrounded by the city limits, but it is outside the city limits. As well as two of the next two largest property value assessments in EBR, the Formosa Plastics and Georgia-Pacific plants. The "parish" outside of SG also includes a large swath of area on the NE and northern side of EBR that will not be in the SG area.

Secondly, the voters in SG currently get a vote for "the king of BR." That would not change if SG is incorporated, just like the voters in Central, Zachary and Baker still vote in the EBR Mayor-President's election. And segments of the SG area voters are represented by 7 of the 12 current council districts. Therefore, SG residents have a voice in the budget process. Stop pretending to be a helpless victim. You're not.

Thirdly, no one on here has explained what that $52,000,000 is for. Is it a reimbursement for services provided by the city to the parish? If so, what are those services? Is that money representative of sales taxes collected in the Bluebonnet district, which is outside the city limits but is paid by residents from all over the city, parish and even outside the parish?

And lastly, if that $52,000,000 really belongs to the SG area but is being used by the city of BR, why do the proponents of SG claim that BR tax revenues will only decline by $14,000,000 and not by $52,000,000 if SG is created? That alone destroys the theory that the $52,000,000 is paid by SG residents and is used exclusively by BR city residents.

Well by your figures, the finances of BR will not be adversely affected by the formation of SG, because BR will have Exxon and the like....enjoy it! BR will not have continue to support SG....win win

Try this one
8th one down. Should read.
2011 Schools Ranked by SPS - Louisiana Department of Education

No... I didn't see the 2013 rankings and decide to cherry-pick a previous year. 2011 was the first to come up in the first three pages.

Why search further? To verify that they are C rated schools instead of D rated schools? The point that EBR High schools suck is still valid. Anyone with a decent high school education would know that.

Could it be you don't want the facts known that the EBR school system, Sucks balls
FIFY
And as for your "graph", you're hooking your wagon to the fact that only 80% of EBR schools receive a C or below rating!
But hey, it's better than that 90% figure 5 years ago. Only 15-20 more years and EBR might break even.

You can't include Parkview. It's private.
Parkview Elementary is an EBR public elementary school located on Parkforest Dr off of Jefferson Hwy.

It's not Parkview Baptist which is probably what you're thinking of.

I did. It wouldn't load either. You may as well just give up. You're link-challenged.

It's sad that you refuse to admit there is obvious improvement. And you refuse to acknowledge that I TWICE wrote more work is need or there is a long way to go.

Your dishonesty has been exposed. Your opinions are worthless. I won't bother with you again.

You need to provide a link where I've written that. I'm pretty sure I have not posted that statement. Nor do any of my "figures" support your assertion.

because BR will have Exxon and the like.
Logic fail on your part. Sorry my point went over your head that the $52,000,000 referred to in the LSA does not originate exclusively from SG which the SG supporters appear to claim when they repeat their mantra of "BR stealing $52,000,000 from SG residents."

Maybe you're just mentally challenged.

A child could be born today and graduate high school before EBR breaks even based on your "trend". Super great improvement.
You can't defend how EBR has crap schools and Dutchtown, St. Amant, and Zachary have A+ rated schools. You can't. Just stop.

Where's the dishonesty? There is none.
You got exposed on an issue that you can't debate. So you resort to personal attacks. That just tells me I'm winning.

As for your credibility claim, you've already shown your bias and no one should take you seriously after you posted this GEM!!!!

Go home Russian. You've lost all credibility.

The question stands, Russian. Would you and your child to McKinley and Woodlawn for the bulk of their education? Think real hard about how good that c is.

My children all graduated from EBR public schools. They were prepared very nicely for professional careers. One received a fully paid via scholarship/fellowship PhD in medical-related research from a well-known, high academic standards out of state university. Thanks for asking.

And, yes, my children were bussed during the deseg days of the fed court control over the EBR school system. The EBR school system is much improved since then.

Dude. He won't answer your points. You can nail him down on every argument with facts and hell circle around to some obscure bullshite that has nothing to do with what you said.

At some point he'll call you racist. He'll claim shite from budgets he doesn't understand.

I think in his mind as long as he has the last word he wins.

I'll be voting for St George when the time comes. He'll be sitting in font of his computer fuming because he doesn't get to vote.

Which ones did they attend? Getting lucky and receiving a ticket to BRMHS is not the same as getting stuck attending Woodlawn which, I believe, was one of the specific "C" schools you were asked if you'd mind your children attending.

I'm just a curious a-hole like that.

Pretty interesting article about Sandy Springs, GA. They were faced with the same situation as SG and incorporated their own city. It is the city that inspired the organizers of the SG movement and the strategy used in SS will be used as a blueprint in SG.

Do you realize the on-line newspaper you linked is owned by Woody Jenkins (click on "Contact Us"), the long-time, north Baton Rouge ultra-conservative segregationist who once had business dealings with former Ku Klux Klan Grand Wizard David Duke?

Jenkins' support of a SG school district goes a long way to confirm my contention that it all boils down to whites wanting their own majority white school district. Nothing he writes in any publication can be trusted for accuracy or truthfulness.

Do you dispute anything I wrote about the link or David Duke? Or is this just another of you attempts to create a straw man argument to divert attention away from your lies?
