Thanks for the link. There's a bunch of links to videos on Twitter. The ones I found doing a search for "Yellow Vest" were great. Some of them are from RT. They say they are funded in whole or in part by the Russian government. An RT Youtube video of the riot

I understand that the French citizens are angry and all, but I have never understood rioting. You're so mad that you're going to destroy the neighborhood where you live? What, exactly, is that going to accomplish? And that is a question for rioting in general. Not just this specific case.

Going to be in Paris for the first time starting Friday. This should be interesting.
Very cool. definitely be updating on this.
Hope you set up appts/special tours for things you want to see. Nothing worse than wasting away waiting in long lines. My sis went this past summer with her family, and she said it was a huge time saver and worth the extra money.

I haven't paid close attention, but I don't think they are in their own neighborhoods. I think they are in the banking or commercial districts, maybe by some political offices too? Basically, they are not rioting where the tourists live and in their own neighborhoods. They are in the streets trying to be seen or shut stuff down to hurt the government.
I have a hard time believing they are rioting over only $7/ gallon gas. Its been around 1.10-1.50 euro/ liter for like 10 years I think. Maybe 7 euro/ liter? So like $25/ gallon?
ETA: So its a bunch of drivers protesting, like truck drivers. And they are blocking the main roads, highways, and fuel depots where the tanker trucks fill up to supply the gas stations.
These trucks are parked, to block the road.
