First off, let me say I am disgusted with the majority of the arguments. They did the right thing.

I always thought that my son was put on this earth to test my Karma.

$100 bill he found at K-mart. Turned it in to the costumer service desk. We did the right thing.

An elderly lady left her pocketbook on top of her car. Fell off. $400 cash and a dozen credit cards. Pre-google, found her house and my son refused her offer of $20.

He is an Eagle Scout.

A million dollars, he and I would do the right thing.

The creativity of those that would scheme to retain this money is disgusting.

You are a thief.

Correct me if I am incorrect, but in La. if you turn in an item to the sheriff and it is not claimed within a certain amount of time, you can get it back, correct? its like 5 years?

How on earth can you know that? You think some clerk didn’t pocket it?

Money where it’s clear who the owner is is a different story

As for the million dollars...you really think law enforcement is gonna spend it prudently? They’ll buy a swat tank and break down the door of the wrong house while going after some grandpa who was growing some bud on the side.

You could at least give it to the needy or some charity.

If you turn a million dollars into the Sherriffs office, it will get "misplaced" long before it reaches 5 years

When I was a kid, I found a lady’s purse at a high school basketball game. Small town, so I looked at the DL and personally took it to her house. Broad not only gave me $0, she also accused me of stealing it.

And I will add that the fricking govt often steals cash and other assets from people in civil asset forfeitures where no crime has been proven.

Can’t trust anyone, so when you hit the lotto, don’t let someone else take your ticket.

Cool bro. Enjoy your mundane life on top your high horse. I’ll enjoy mine on a pile of coke while a stripper sucks my dick

This is different than finding a million dollars vacuum sealed in a suitcase on the side of the road which is clearly drug money and sneaking a couple hundo

Wasn't "drug money"

You retard. Finding an old woman's wallet is different that finding 2 trash bags of cash.
