Has anyone had it yet this year? I've yet to get my shot as I wasn't cleared to until just last week. Started feeling like death this morning. Can't take anything but Tylenol. This is my pity party, you're welcome to partake or just gawk from a safe distance.

For the poor souls who've already been stricken, did yours come with a bonus of stomach problems?

We had a 70% decline by our employees for a free flu shot at work including me. I was surprised that many people didn't want it. Most said that they got sick after getting the shot. I'll take my chances.

Only years I've ever gotten it was when I didn't get the vaccine. Sucks.

And good luck with the whole annulment thing. I heard Father Counce (priest who married me) can be tough...that is if you're trying to get an annulment here.

I will go to doctor tomorrow but it doesn't matter because I can't have Tamifku, I've come down with the pregnant. Welcome to suppressed immune system plus only Tylenol for any ailment. Just trying to keep fever down as to not harm my mini me.

I'm on the infection control committee at the hospital I work at....we've already had a couple cases so far at work. Get your flu shots people!

It's mandatory at my work, every employee(no matter what you do in the hospital) has to get a flu shot. If you cannot get one for medical or religious reasons...you are wearing a mask anytime you are at work until March/April. They have us nurses on our units just giving each other shots if we wish. I'll get my flu shot next week (when I have a couple days off). I like to be off the next day so I can just relax and not have to run around in case I'm sore or running a low grade fever from the shot.

This sucks because I want a flu shot. I can't even get into my hospitals (legally) right now since I've yet to get it. Most don't accept the declination form anymore.

ETA: what strand is the shot this year?

Have they found a way to get it in pill form? In fact, if I could give blood without needles, that would great too.

I get the flu shot once every 5 years. Never had the flu.
The flu is when you're down a week or two,so I hear.
Hope you feel better.

I never get the shot or the flu.

Habit from several years ago when they were always freaking out about shortages. Since I'm not part of a vulnerable population and don't have regular contact with vulnerable populations, I always left the shots for people with greater risk factors.

I don't know what is going on, but Saturday I woke up feeling like shite. A few weeks ago I had to go to the doctor so I went ahead & got the flood shot, however; I have no idea what is currently going on, but it has me feeling bad.

If anyone wants to give me a possible diagnosis, I am lacking energy, my muscles hurt.. Not bad, but more than usual.. I feel kind of "coldish", but I don't have fever or anything.. Just feel horrible.
