Did anyone get an upset stomach? If I can just not hurl like crazy I think I can make it.

I didn't have any nausea or intestinal symptoms at all...frankly, not a whole lot of upper respiratory symptoms either. I am just now to the coughing stage, which generally signals recovery for me. Honestly, it was largely a different illness from what I have had in past years.

Well that’s good news.

First and last year I’ll ever get the flu shot.

At some point, I started taking half-dose of meds at twice the frequency...that made me a lot more comfortable and kept my med levels a lot more flat. taking as directed had me shaking with chills and then dripping with sweat an hour and a half later. just gotta be sure not to miscalculate when you have taken your last dosage, as you kind of lose track of time.

Both kids threw up once. I had stomach discomfort for a night with no other symptoms.

JK. I don’t have the flu but something is kicking my arse. Aches, sinus, hard to sleep, cold then hot, then sweat - rinse and repeat. Started Saturday.

I always laugh at people when they say they had the flu "yesterday". You'll hear, " Oo, I felt bad from lunch till I went to bed. I could hardly stay til 5 at work, felt so bad "
Then proceed to be at work ok the next day. Then proceed to tell everyone that they had the flu and didn't have to miss any work.

They clearly have never had the real deal flu.

Low intelligence = unable to make good decisions

Not smart enough to grasp how the flu shot works and why it’s important to get....even if you still get the flu.

People are retarded. The sad thing is when they are presented with information and facts and only dig their heels deeper in shite.

Unfortunately, with the way the flu invades the host, it usually arrives quickly and severely. It isn't a gradual build up like a cold.

Explain to me the benefit of getting the flu shot if the CDC creates the shot based on the incorrect strain? There are far too many people who get vaccinated who still end up with the flu. I'm not even sure it's fair to call it a vaccination, really, considering it is, by far, the least effective "vaccination" on the market.

When's the last time someone who has up-to-date MMR ended up with measles?

Evening itathe wrong strain, it helps with recovery. My 5 year old had the shot, got the flu and was symptom free after two days. My wife in the other hand, didn’t get the shot and was down for 4.5 days. It helps with recovery.

My gf gave me the flu this year and we both got the shot. I’m on day 4 or 5 but got on tamiflu within 24 hours and I think it greatly cut down the time. My RHR is almost back to normal but I’m still getting night sweats which aren’t fun at all.

Your doctor sounds a bit behind the times. Most of the doctors in my area have stopped writing prescriptions for tamiflu.

Our pediatrician claimed there were just too many bad reactions and there is no conclusive evidence the product does anything. The human immune system is very effective vs influenza.

I never spiked a temp but tested positive for the flu on Friday . We were all put on Tamiflu. We all had a flu vaccine this year..

You got what you deserved. Lesson learned, never get a flu shot. I did one year and I got sicker than I've ever been.
