Regardless of whatever you "feel" is the case with the traffic lights, they're definitely not synchronized. Just ride US61 northbound from LA73 to US190 anytime from 4PM on. Your "feelings" will change.
And the traffic in Central is a dumpster fire struck by a train wreck. There is not enough pavement to alleviate the bullshite there. And apparently the right slimy entities haven't been paid off enough for the 15+ year old planned/recommended infrastructure improvements there (Hooper, Sullivan, & Hooper bridge to LP) to be started and/or completed.
But we have blinking yellow arrows. And a N Sherwood extension to Joor, north of Greenwell Springs.

Well, this may be somewhat true. I predict that I'll catch every light red but maybe one when I drive down Stanford/Acadian.

Can anyone find a list of lights that were supposed to be synchronized? I looked on the movebr website but couldn’t find a detailed list.

I'm not saying the project hasn't taken way too long, but you might be underestimating how long something like this can take by asking if it should only take a few months. That's a LOT of lights they have to get connectivity to, test, and put into production. Though, maybe I'm giving them too much credit thinking they'd test a light out before putting it into production.

well they suck at syncrhonization.
I know that if i turn right on Siegen from Industriplex, and make a quick u-turn on Siegen and head towards the interstate, i'll hit all the green lights on Siegen and hop on I-10 West in less than a minute.
I know if i sit at that light on Industriplex waiting for it to turn green for me to turn left on Siegen, i will have to sit at the next red light, and then i'll have to sit at the next red light at the RaceTrac before i get on the interstate.
I know if i turn right onto Jefferson from Lobdell, and quickly make a uturn to head east on jefferson, I won't have to sit at a red light for over a minute while hardly anyone goes on the green lights, and i'll hit the next green light at corporate, whereas if i waited on Lobdell for the light to turn green for me to turn left onto Jefferson, it will take forever, and then I'll have to wait again at the corporate light.
The turning lane light on Airline onto Antioch takes so long that I can go straight on airline, go almost all the way to highland where there's a turnaround right before the light (which is 0.4 miles), make a uturn and head to the Rouses parking lot, park my car and start walking into Rouses before the light to turn left will turn green at Airline/Antioch.
I'm not going to complain too much about the light at Burbank and Gardere b/c i'd chalk that one up to stupid fricking drivers more than than the stupid fricking light, even though the light is fricking stupid.
There are plenty more examples of lights in this town staying red for far too long while no one is coming in the other direction, and it's faster to just go the opposite direction and uturn it to go in the direction you are wanting to go. And it's not even dangerous to make the uturn b/c no one is coming despite the green light. And you don't have to worry about illegal uturns b/c there are no cops on the streets in the is town, which is why i run red lights every single day.

It did I'm pretty sure. I know work stopped because they kept getting ground water higher than the water table. Sounded like they encountered a natural spring and had no idea what to do about it.

Highland running through LSU either needs green arrow protected lefts or no left turns allowed (at least during a time period of say 7am -7pm).
And the left turns on Perkins between Perkins on/off ramp and college/Lee need major work. Some will skip a left arrow for multiple light cycles backing up turning lanes and congesting traffic.
It also doesn't help the lights are timed to often have turns or forward progress blocked by traffic not clearing intersection from side streets and prior light cycles.

I live around Staring and Burbank and I work downtown. So I drive Burbank to Nicholson to downtown every morning and afternoon.
And my drive is noticeably longer in the mornings now because the lights aren’t synchronized. The two lights on campus on Nicholson are maddening sometimes. You either hit them both green or you hit one red then the next one red. And at the second one (at Bernie Moore) you have to wait forever for not only the side street (North Stadium) but also the opposite turn lane, whether there are any cars there or not.
That’s what pisses me off the most I think. The stupid arse blinking then signals that you have to wait on whether there are cars theming or not.
And the lights on Burbank around the Mellow Mushroom area are just plain stupid these days.

Rumor is that when the drainage was installed in the 50s, it was installed backwards. I don't know what that means or entails, but apparently it's a big issue to fix, but wasn't a big issue for 70 years while the city went from a one horse town to what it is now.
