We need immigration crackdown. It is a long time coming.
But, this is not why. So there is a crackdown on a residential jobsite and a dozen mexicans are swept up. Great. A single 2 BR apartment in SW Houston. just became available. And the Stab n Grab on the corner suddenly has an oversupply of Monster drinks and a clean microwave. And now the housing that is in true demand that they were actually building comes to a standstill, but hey the 20 somethings that were born here are all DYING to step up and lay brick for $12 an hour. Just as soon as they learn how.
This is a good thing long term that is going to have massive short term implications if it is done as most are hoping. I'm not saying it isnt necessary, but shite is going to get real when the supply part of supply and demand is throttled back.

To all the idiots saying labor shortage we made it years without illegals when American still worked . We need a crack down on welfare and every illegal out of the country . There is a legal way to get a work visa (now plenty of people who do it )

She’d be in Trump’s harem if she was real.

Wait do you mean that a 32 year old Brayden John Jaxson Breaux Jr can’t afford that 2026 F350 Diesel because he has to pay a fair wage?

The amount of money we save in feeding, clothing and shelter for them. The amount of money we save on crime. The amount of money we save on public education if there kids aren't there. The amount of money we save on providing medical care for them.
I'm willing to go down that road and see if it works out...building more houses is not even in the top 10 things to me.

Friendzoning should be one of the offenses.

You think they are all living in tents down by the river?

Feels good to say but isn’t our reality.
Farming, labor based manufacturing and the entire housing industry use this group to a high percentage.
They aren’t buying $400k homes or living in $1800 a month apartments. Mostly, they live with multiple people and in low quality rental until or older apartments.
I am 100% control the borders but we are all fricked if we start deporting the people that actually work.

They are most definitely living in 400 K homes in major US cities. They may not be buying them but somebody’s buying it and stacking up full of five of them that affects potential homebuyers.
Also I don’t think there’s anyway that Trump will be able to deport 30 million illegals. He could probably spend the first 2 years just trying to round up the worst of the worst criminals, and I mean crimes far beyond illegal entry.

This will be an unpopular position, but a complete mass deportation of Hispanic illegal aliens will bring this country to its knees while driving costs up 25-40%. This will cripple industry across the board from agriculture and construction to hospitality and food service. We don’t have some magic workforce of Americans waiting in the wings to take back the jobs that will be left open if the Hispanics are deported. We have the laziest most entitled group of Americans this country has ever had that have no desire to go to work and even less skills to do so with. If you think egg and produce prices are high now, get ready. If you think housing prices are high and “starter homes” our out of people’s budgets get ready to see what happens. I am pro Trump and 100% agree the criminals need to go and deportation is the only way. However we have to give a pathway to legal work for those that are here and making the wheels of this country turn. I am not saying a pathway to citizenship, a pathway to work legally without the fear of being scooped up and deported.

Cut off all federal benefits and go after employers and he’ll make a significant dent in it.
