Are you trolling or retarded?
No one is agreeing to have gasoline poured all over them.

Serious hazing, forcing drinking to the point of death trashing campus spots, making offensive signs shouldn’t be “part of the the college experience”
So you believe that all fraternities and extracurricular clubs are doing this?
Just like in society, there are bad eggs everywhere. In fraternities, they tend to conglomerate. As I have said, I was in a fraternity. What DEKE did was wrong, what those losers who killed the guy did was wrong. What more do you want?
The LSU football team fricks with their freshmen? Should we shut down the football team too? What's the point of a sports team at an institution of higher learning?

Couldn't find a more recent article
"According to the most recent National Panhellenic Council 2013-2014 annual report, sorority women from across the nation raised over $5.7 million for philanthropies and reported nearly 1 million hours of community service in the last academic year alone.
Even more impressive is that, in the same time frame, fraternity men in The North American Interfraternity Conference raised $20.7 million for philanthropies and completed 3.8 million hours of community service."

You serious with this? There's a line between normal hazing, initiation and beating people or dousing them with gasoline.

I have zero tolerance for zero tolerance policies.
Beating people and dousing them with gasoline or forcing them to drink until they die isn't hazing. It's sadistic behavior that has been allowed to go too far.

The point of hazing used to be forcing pledge brothers grow closer together by making them do stupid/embarrassing/funny shite. Then, once college became open to more and more people, fraternities quit being for the social elite, quit cutting people in rush for the sake of money, and respect for institutions died.
Once respect for institutions, and in turn the people in those institutions died, assholes started making hazing more about dominance and control and enforcement of will.
TLDR: is the GDI’s fault

Not assuming these accusations have been sensationalized by the alleged victims in order to save face or by the media for the purposes of click bait is naive.
Some people (maybe most) could give less of a frick about what goes on in that or any fraternity house, but there are those that grow up hearing lots and lots of stories about the DKE house. They will click on anything that might spill the beans on what goes on in that clown barn.

You gotta know who is committed to the frat though

Because this is the only incident out of this specific chapter.

I'm not denying that, but when there's smoke, there's fire and there's been smoke for 20-30 years plus.

You and I both know that there is, but the idiot I am arguing is saying that all fraternities should be banned due to hazing. I'm applying his logic to other situations. He is avoiding the argument, because he is wrong.
Also, if there is no point for social clubs on a campus in 2019, there really is no point for sports teams either. Again, his logic is stupid.

I hear ya, but the majority of the smoke has been about things you can laugh about. Not things that 100% of normal folks will find over the top.

I there’s been a fricking 5 alarm blaze for 20 years at the DKE house

I didn’t realize the dude was a non LSU DKE legacy. The grandpa has no attachment to the chapter. Therein lies the danger.
