A sure sign of economic downturn, New Orleans developers commit to build a new high rise.
Such a shithole......why would a company like Shell invest more than $42.5 million in a new office building and bring in more white collar jobs?

This news is going to piss some baws off no doubt.
Probably should have it's own thread on the project update.

No doubt, will have to remind them this development will also be next to Top Golf and the new hotels that are going up

Between a week with no murders and this commitment nega-nolars are having a tough couple weeks.
Hopefully they get a boil order or mass shooting to revive their hope.

They’re really gonna be pissed when they find out the Port of South Louisiana is buying the former Avondale shipyard for $445M from T. Parker Host

What all is going on out there or is the plan?
It really is a great piece of land with the rail, river, and Hwy infrastructure.

They will vow to never spend another dollar in the city lol
Meanwhile Ceasers, The Four Seasons and everything upriver is starting to boom.
Those baws will continue to be lost on Bourbon Street

Is IBM still in BR? What about that big Fortune 500 company that packed up and went to NC?
I've had my fill of political press conferences to announce some big corporate investment.
Louisiana does not have any infrastructure to support long term investment that doesn't float or drill. Its government is decidedly against growth and everyone tries to line their pockets.

Harry Rosenberg has GOAT hair. Used to love riding down the elevator with him at 365 Canal. I felt like a giant.
