You submit the parts of the deposition you want before trial. The other side has the chance to object. I don't know who Rekeita is, but she is wrong about this.

I think that is pretty much a universal rule. You cannot lead your own witness (unless the witness is an expert).
It comes up all the time when the other side calls an adverse party in its case in chief. The "direct" is really a cross, because the witness is adverse. The "cross" is treated like direct, because it is your witness.

That's a pretty old video depo. Don't know if that will make a difference to jury.
The more they show the photographs, the less impressive they are to me. I've said before that I wonder if the jury is becoming immune to those seeing them over and over again with Heard looking pathetic.

They keep saying she was swollen. I haven’t seen one photo showing her swollen. It all could have been done with make up.
I’m not saying it’s fact that it’s all make up. I just haven’t seen anything that could no be makeup. Even her lips are not swollen. The lip sore could be a cold sore. There’s no medical records. There’s no witnesses that have ever seen him physical. She’s seen in photos the same day as supposedly being beaten. There’s nothing there.

It doesn't even look like a busted lip. Usually a busted lip is split and hers just looks like a round cold sore like you said or maybe she's been gnawing on it. The "clump" of 3 inch long hair laid out perfectly aligned on the floor actually made me laugh out loud

Which would explain why Depp's side would allow this hearsay to go on. Put it all out there, then challenge the witness about the recorded testimony to further discredit Heard's side

Runkle of the Bailey... another lawyer (albeit Canadian) now doing legal analysis on YouTube... is in the gallery and he says this 2nd depo (the ex-husband of the woman from earlier) actually woke up the jury and they were paying attention again
