Barkin testified in the sun trial that he never hit her, kicked her, or physically assaulted her in anyway. She did claim he got mad and threw a bottle against a wall but it didn’t hit anyone.

Yes. But the defamatory statements do not name him and, IIRC, are not that strong. Let me see if I can find them.

She is clearly talking about Johnny. But I think all she says is “abuse.”
I think that you don’t have to believe much of what she says to find truth. That’s just my take.
FTR, I think it’s pretty clear she exaggerated what happened to her. Her credibility is very low based on her own testimony and well established facts. But I also think some pretty bad shite went down with Johnny Depo.

If the jury believes he could have been physically violent in any way ever to Heard, his defamation suit is over. So if he has two people saying he was physically violent towards them, that takes this case from having one crazy person spouting out nonsense, to two people saying he was physically violent. So imo, it would be highly unlikely the jury believes he wasn’t violent with Heard at least once.
However, it appears this witness has already testified he was never physically violent. Therefore, this does show Depp has a temper, but you still only have one crazy person spouting out nonsense about physical violence. This helps Depp more than anything imo if Depp’s attorneys play it right.

If that's what she said in the Sun trial, why would Heard's team call her again?

True. He apparently controlled the physical part with Barkin, but not with Heard if you believe Heard.

People need to understand, there are two trials going on here. The most important one that matters to Depp is the one of public opinion. Nobody in the public gives a shite if he has a temper. They just care if he’s physically violent.
Heard’s team is not concerned with Depp’s public perception. They are trying to save their client from being financially liable for 50 million dollars. They would love to try and save Heard’s public reputation as much as possible, but first and foremost, they want to save her from financial liability in a civil court case.

Well their client is convincing no one so they’ve got to get someone up there to make him look bad. Barkin did also say that he was a yeller and verbally abusive, but according to her he never touched her.
According to Depp they had a sexual relationship while making a movie. She wanted a “proper relationship” and he didn’t and he broke it off. He said she’s been mad ever since. The fact that she’s coming to testify that he threw a bottle against a wall 25 years ago let’s me know she ain’t letting go.

AS I understand it, she has sued him as well. Does this trial / outcome have anything to do with hers? Or will that be a different trial?

If the jury believes she was physically violent with Depp at least once, her suit is dead. Depp has already had witnesses saying she was on more than one occasion. So I would say her suit is already over. And yes it will be decided in this trial.

Y’all missing it, AH just testified the dog shite the bed because the dog ate some weed when it was a puppy and that made the dog incontinent. On break now, hoping they get to cross examination today.

Nick Rekieta seems to think the defense will try to hold onto Amber all day today... so I wouldn't expect cross starting today... tomorrow at the earliest
