Yogurt date is 6/18/2022. No clue if that is a best by or expiration date. It smells ok. Consistency is more runny than usual. It’s the last yogurt in the frig. Safe to eat?

Please don’t squeeze more time out of the yogurt.

There are foods I would eat after the expiration date.

Yogurt isn't one of them.

I’d eat it if there’s no pink mold on it

Just give it a stir - trust me you’ll know if it’s rotten or not once it hits your tongue

Two questions. Are you an adult? Really asking advice on this?

It is an opening question about how others interpret expiration dates on food.

Are you so feeble minded that you move with your first condescending reaction?

Yogurt consumed with no adverse reaction.

It's yogurt. It was already spoiled when you bought it.

Yogurt is probably one of the foods I am most comfortable with eating after the expiration date. Though I am generally more of a taste/smell test guy anyway.

So there are a lot of factors that affect this decision. How badly has it been time and temperature abused, how long has it been open, and do you see any specks or even slight discoloration. Yogurt is something I typically have no problem eating out of date as long as it has not been open for more than a couple of weeks and doesn’t show any sign or smell of harmful bacteria. Think of what yogurt is…it’s essentially spoiled milk anyway.

On old yogurt I just taste a tad of it and if it is bitter it’s tossed,
