Betting with nothing is a lot different than calling(all in) with nothing.

What was she going to get busted for?

Some people cave in the face of confrontation. A lot of those people are women. I initially thought the refund was a tell, but I don't know if that's proof of anything here. It could have been the guy bankrolling her making that call to end the drama.

Dude bumped this thread just to quintuple down on his stupidity.

There’s a lot of poker ignorance in this thread

They both had crap hands and went all in. She won.

This thread is full of people who admit they don’t really know much about poker and then proceed with a series of hot takes. If you don’t really understand why this particular hand is interesting or suspicious that’s okay. You don’t need to contribute.
ah, so you’re the guy that believes he’s entitled to the next card out of a blackjack shoe

I’ll need to see more pics of her before passing judgement

All he’s saying is why provide an opinion on something you have no idea about. It’s illogical.
Also, what does entitled to the next card in the blackjack shoe mean?

I'm not surprised in the least to see winn-whatever with a very low IQ take as well.

Was undecided yesterday, I’m starting to lean towards cheating though. The rectangular item in her pocket seems to be mighty sketchy. That could be the thing that vibrated the chair.
Also, Doug polk debunked the hand misread. Andy asked her before the runouts “do you have a pair of 3s?” And she says “no”. Then says “do you have a 3 in your hand?” She says “no, I have a pure bluff catcher”

I started to watch Doug's video and got stopped. Need to go back and watch it today.
I did see the video where Rip melted down when he found out she gave him the money back. That kind of points to not cheating I think, but you can argue it either way.

What are you talking about?
Everyone who plays poker a lot or is really interested in the game is finding this hand newsworthy, but joey badass on tigerdroppings is definitely right that this hand is a nothing burger?

A lot of people’s conception of poker is stuck around the image of a group of cowboys playing in a smoke-filled saloon and every hand is a roulette-style matter of luck.

Yep. Like most people my age, I played a frick ton of poker in college. Thought I was pretty good. Used to play at some of the Cherokee Casinos in Oklahoma a fair deal.
But at times at those casinos and more often at bigger ones, I’ve sat down and realized quick that the people at the table were playing a different game at a different level.
It’s obviously an even greater difference at a table like this one.

Not knowing anything but what I watched, it appears if he was pushing her around a lot. She got frustrated and was tilted and made a bad call that worked out.
Posted on 10/2/22 at 8:32 am to cssamerican
Not picking on you cssamerican, but it just seems strange for people who have no idea why this is insanity to have an opinion. That’d be like me going into a chess cheating thread and giving my opinion on why MC thinks he was cheated by Hans.
And the people that say she 100% cheated or she’s 100% innocent are the worst

Weird play on Garrett's part as well. I've been in games like this, where you don't play the cards, but you play the player. Probably some things were said or done earlier in the game where they both were so set on beating the other player, they didn't give two shits about what their cards were. I mean he was fishing and she knew it. If this Rip guy was bank rolling her, it wasn't even her money. I did like watching her tits, maybe he gave a tell when he couldnt look at that nice set and she picked up on it.

After watching a few times she is a bad player doing a dumb thing. You wouldn't expect to see that at a table like that but it happens all of the time on WSOP App.

I think his 3-bet sizing of all in is a little peculiar, but his hand is mostly a call with low frequency 3 bets on turn. Even if she thinks he’s bluffing, there’s only 3 hands that he could be bluffing with that she is ahead of with her exact hand. Berkey said on his pod last night, her actual equity vs Garrett’s range is around 7%
